One of the many things that I love about this preliminary TLWI… cohort is the way that it’s shown me that no matter where we are, how far apart, through however many smartphone apps, there’s still a sacred, divine force, or source, that’s ever-present, at play, and keeping us connected. In church, they say something like, “Wherever two or more are gathered in the name of GOD, He is present.” Power and energy conjoined is like, “Alone, you’ll go faster, sure, but together, you’ll go further.” Higher. Scientifically, where multiple people are present in a shared space, there’s more electricity, more aura 🔥 In Ifá, that means more àṣẹ, more life force 🌊 And being “gathered” can look like many things, in many ways. Just like GOD is called many names and wears many masks 🎭
That’s one of my major takeaways from …THE DARK WOMB. So, with DARK WOMB WAVES, as we throwback to my childhood days where the street teams were everything, it’s my prayer that TLWI… and our community of supporters can all gather throughout our respective grounds, in the name of GOD (a She, played by Dhayana, in …THE DARK WOMB.), creating an underwater world about this timeless, yet well overdue, sonic film of bittersweet self-love 🪞
