Most people walk into @thegroupsd thinking it’s a networking event. Then they realize it’s something completely different.
I intentionally start with music. I intentionally get people dancing, moving, laughing, and letting their guard down because the mission has never just been business. The mission is unity.
For one moment, none of the labels matter. Politics don’t matter. Religion doesn’t matter. Status doesn’t matter. Titles don’t matter.
What matters is the realization that underneath it all, we are human beings craving connection, purpose, understanding, and community.
Music and dance have a way of dissolving tension. They remind us of something we forget in everyday life. We are all connected. The same heartbeat lives inside every single one of us.

The Group was built to remind people that community still exists.

As many of you know, we love and appreciate @dr_lisel not just for what she does, but for who she is. She has poured so much love, wisdom, healing, and support into so many people’s lives and now it’s our turn to show up for her as she prepares to welcome her beautiful baby into the world.
On Friday, May 15th at Feel Good Friday at Fox Point Farms, we’re asking our community to bring a box of diapers to help celebrate and support this new chapter for her family. Also bring an extra diaper package to donate to @solutionsforchange .
