“My wife and I are going to do everything possible so you and your family won’t have to live here.” This promise our founder Chris Megison made to a little girl in a homeless shelter is the foundation of our mission. Now, we work every day so families can achieve happiness and stability. Twenty-three years of life-transforming work began with one promise. That promise changed the lives of over 1,300 families and 2,800 children. Through this promise, Solutions for Change faces The Churn and creates Overcomers.

A new cohort within our Solutions Academy is beginning this September, and we are seeking passionate volunteers to help empower and encourage participants on their journey toward stability and success. We are currently looking for facilitators for: 💙 Health & Wellness Classes — Monday mornings 💼 Career Development Classes — Friday mornings ⏰ Classes are typically held between 9:00 AM and 12:00 PM. If you have experience, knowledge, and a heart for serving others, this is a meaningful opportunity to make a lasting impact in our community. This Mother’s Day, we honor the incredible strength, resilience, and love of mothers like Valerie. Valerie came to Solutions for Change determined to break generational cycles of addiction, instability, and incarceration to build a better future for her three boys. Since joining Solutions for Change, Valerie’s life has transformed: 🌷 She is continuing her recovery journey and building long-term stability. 🌷 She moved into her own apartment with her youngest son and is experiencing the joy of watching him grow each day. 🌷 She completed her classes and is beginning her job search to support her family independently. 🌷 She plans to continue her education and pursue peer support work to help others through their own struggles. 🌷 She is creating a future rooted in accountability, healing, consistency, and hope. Today, Valerie is building the life she once thought was out of reach — not just for herself, but for her children. This Mother’s Day, we celebrate moms who choose courage, growth, and transformation every single day.
