ICYMI: A new wetland is taking shape along the L.A. River 🌿💧
Residents got a look last month at the Bowtie Demonstration Project in Glassell Park, a 3.2-acre recreated wetland now under construction at the former Taylor Yard site.
Designed to help clean stormwater, conserve water, support native plants, and bring more wildlife back to the river, the project is being described as a model for urban restoration in Los Angeles and beyond.
Construction is expected to wrap in late 2026 or early 2027.
