The music video for Keep The Light On directed by @jeremy_lutter will be part of @victoriafilmfest @cinevic_filmmakers screening this Sunday night. It will be featured alongside other local films by local filmmakers. The event will be held at Cinecentra @uvic in the student union building 3800 finnerty rd. I plan to be there and looking forward to a night out and seeing all the talented work done in the local film scene. I put the ticket link in the bio👆come out and join me to support the local scene!

What a year!!! 🕺🥳💥 2024 was full of musical highlights, filled with lots of milestones and awesome people to share it with. There’s really too much to mention in a single post, but here’s my top 10 of all the good stuff that happened this year! (in no particular order 😁) • Keep The Light On - EP release. This was the catalyst for all the musical moments to follow, and finished the year with well over 100k streams on @spotify alone. • Our EP release show @upstairs__entertainment with the talented guys from @okcharlieband and presented by @thezone913 . One of the funnest shows to date yet! • “First Light”💡the first single from the EP and our most successful one to date. Cowritten and produced with @parker.bossley • playing nearly a dozen shows this year, including some outdoor shows that my Kids could attend, they are my biggest cheerleaders a fans 😁 • making music with killer band mates, both old friends and new ones, and seriously some of Victorias finest musicians @deepaaaar @seanthomp90 @dustinbarden @mr.bassplayer . You guys are just all around fantastic and talented humans who make me sound good 👌 and you’re a good hang too! • heading out on tour to Alberta with @natalieingamusic and wrapping up the year with a KILLER show @ironwoodstage (this was not part of the plan at the start of this year 😬) • getting to meet @jeremy_lutter and friends at @cinevic_filmmakers to make an AWESOME music video (well they did most of it I just helped 😁) • hanging out with my good pal @mikeedel who helps me with music, produced and cowrote a bunch on this EP, I played in his band, and he just stayed at my house a lot this year. All good hangs! • all the amazing fans and listeners who streamed the music, watched the videos, came to the shows, and overall sent lots of positive vibes this way. A special shoutout to my sis @eviemeyer who flew all the way to Victoria to surprise me at the ep release show! I could make this list longer, and have so many people who were and are continuing to be huge supporters. I love you all and thanks for listening:) May you have a fantastic start to a kickass new year 🕺💪

This is @deepaaaar He’s an all around great guy and an excellent musician too. Dave is a dear friend and has been involved with the Carlines on and off for over a Decade! And since the start of this year has been joining the band back on stage. Our Alberta tour was a BLAST, and it was great to have Dave on board. But right at the very end as we were checking in at the airport on our way home he took a wrong step and re-injured an injury from this past year. Needless to say, that was discouraging after what was otherwise a fantastic time, and we’re feeling for him as he’s looking at a long recovery period. On Friday he had to get surgery so I stopped in at his place to see how he’s doing, and glad to see he’s overall in good spirits:) Those who know Dave will know he gives a lot to the people around him in time and energy, so if you catch him around return the favour by doing something nice like carrying something or handing the crutches, or otherwise just send him get well vibes. He also likes whisky 🥃… just sayin:) . Thanks @westjet for putting Dave in an upgraded spacier seat and helping us get him home. @dustinbarden and @seanthomp90 for being good bros 👌 . ALBERTA! Can we do that again sometime?! . We had a fantastic time, here’s just a few shots from a whirlwind of a trip, will share more in the days to come. We had a great time seeing old friends, making new ones, and playing music everyday along the way. Super thankful for all the great support and people coming out to the shows. TONIGHT! We are wrapping up our Alberta tour at @ironwoodstage . It’s been a blast seeing old friends, enjoying the beautiful fall weather, and playing our hearts out. @natalieingamusic and her band have been slaying it as well and it’s been a blast having them join these shows. We’ve got one more night to put it all out there and leave it all on stage, so that’s what we’ll do!
