𝐁𝐋𝐀𝐂𝐊 𝐌𝐀𝐒𝐒𝐄𝐒 (Live At Power Station) ⚔️Out Now⚔️ In the finale of our video series “Live At Power Station,” the band and I (Cameron Kapoor on Guitar, Julian Cubillos on Bass, and Felix Ambach on drums) blaze through a searing rendition of 𝐁𝐋𝐀𝐂𝐊 𝐌𝐀𝐒𝐒𝐄𝐒, a favorite track from my latest album “Altars. Throughout the clip, the stark, black and white footage which defined previous installments of the series, is shattered by bursts of red, emphasizing the violent themes which drive the song. 𝐁𝐋𝐀𝐂𝐊 𝐌𝐀𝐒𝐒𝐄𝐒 is a song which evolves every time we play it. In this video you can hear the intensity we have been bringing to our live shows this year. I love how Glenn and Todd emphasized that feeling in the mix and edit. It captures the intention of the song perfectly. Watch the full video on YouTube. “Heaven - Live at Power Station” Is streaming now. In lieu of a traditional music video, for ‘Heaven’ I wanted to record a live performance of the song. No tricks, no artifice, just raw power. I have one of the best bands around and I want people to see how we work. Glenn Forsythe at Power Station did an amazing job of engineering and mixing the session. He prioritized the sound of that legendary console and room while honoring my request to embrace all the bleed that comes without isolation. We set up as if playing on-stage and let it rip. The video was shot by Power Station’s in-house team led by Director of Photography Simon Yu. Todd Thoenig brought the visuals to life in the edit. Many thanks to all who were involved. Watch the full thing on YouTube and come see us live at The Sultan Room on April 30th. Link in bio. This is to say hello out there. Compelled by the whirlwinds of immense joy and sorrow which have proved enduring companions over the past year, I’ve returned to my desk and begun writing a new album. As always, my goal is to capture a reflection of life in all its messy glory. The only way I know how to do this is by opening up and absorbing it all. Many hours of experiments have opened new doors that I’m excited to share with you when the time comes. The work is slow but fruitful. I’d have it no other way. That said, I’ll be stepping out for two local shows this spring: March 7 - @cafewha (TVZ Bday Celebration) May 6 - @night_club_101 (@thinlear album release) Hope to see you there. 🕊️ 📷: @woolwoodanddirt

Out Now. 𝕳𝖊𝖗𝖊 𝕮𝖔𝖒𝖊 𝕿𝖍𝖊 𝕭𝖊𝖑𝖑𝖘 is a song of yearning set against the backdrop of a Día de Los Muertos celebration. Inspired by conversations had while visiting ofrendas around Teotitlán del Valle, Mexico, the song explores how our relationship with loss is transformed through faith and tradition. Recorded during the same sessions that produced my LP Altars, the track is set apart by its heavier use of processed field recordings which slowly overtake the traditional instruments creating a palpable tension between memory and the present moment.
