Happy Closing to the incredible production of Zapata @zapatamusical @zachtheater I am so honored to have been a part of this journey. I feel so lucky getting to work with familiar brilliant faces and new extremely talented, and passionate artists. This show was so impactful to the Austin community and I hope after this world premiere it continues to flourish and repeat its incredible message on stages across the world. @jessejsanchezmusic has the gifted mind of a heartfelt genius and created a piece of work that has tapped into the hearts of thousands of people. I am honored to have worked alongside him, our innovative director @amsvargas and asst. director @nomardlt our iconic stage manager @brennah_g and asm Tori Salazar and ingenious choreographer @mayra_agis in the culmination of movement for this physically driven story, and I am so grateful to have met and become friends with some of the most kind and talented performers I’ve ever had the chance to work with @luceroggarcia @zaidricarte @dianaalcarazvilla @bron.ze.ada @themreyna I will miss this group very much 🥲 this cast, crew, and creative team deserve the whole world. BIG WOD Post! ❕💫 WOD was particularly special this year because back in 2022, I was suppose to join Royal Thieves to compete in WOD Boston. That opportunity unfortunately didn’t follow through because of my cardiac arrest, but more importantly, they saved my life that day in rehearsal @jcloud541 , and proceeded to dedicate they’re efforts to me, I remember watching the final performance on FaceTime and felt so ecstatic watching their hard work and dedication exude on stage, I am honored to have been a member of that team and will hold Royal thieves in my heart forever as the team that truly saved my life. I owe so much to them, so as I dance, I dedicate my continuous pursuit and growth in dance to them and my journey from New York. @deshawn_da_prince @infiniti_boss_chic @royalthieves_nyc And to my mother, who always puts her love and care to us before herself, it is so important to me that you were there to witness a moment redeemed in our lives, and to witness growth together. I am so grateful to be your son. @christy.kennedy And as I continue my journey here in Texas and am surrounded by such loving, TALENTED, insane, kind human beings in this powerful collective, it fuels me with joy and honor that I can share not only dance, but the chance to share choreo and share the stage with these beautiful talented-ass dancers at world of dance. This is has been one of the most fulfilling experiences I have ever had in my life and it lightens my day knowing I get to go to rehearsals and create amazing things with these amazing people. Thank you to this team and to Haley for trusting me. MY UPDATED CLASS SCHEDULE! I have a NEW spot at @balancedancestudios which I am SO excited for, I’ll be teaching Broadway Jazz at 11am-12pm EVERY week EVERY Thursday down south! If you’ve been coming to my @thedancespotx class and you live more South this may be a better option! But just com to both anyway! 😂🫣 I’ve been having some really good conversations with folks in Austin about the accessibility of dance training for adults who particularly work as actors, singers, and musical theater artists in Austin, and how there just isn’t enough dance training in Austin FOR Musical Theater Performers, or at least dance classes for actors/singers first who need beginner musical theater dance training . I’m making this post as a HUGE ENCOURAGEMENT for folks to go to THESE CLASSES, i promise I am not evil!! 😈These classes are beginner friendly, help build strength/technique and give you an opportunity to learn how to perform using movement, and get you more comfortable as an actor who dances or a singer who dances or a DANCER WHO DANCES.
