Two weeks ago, I DJ'd a fundraiser for @hpzartcar & @flaminglotusgirls . So many amazing friends came early to see my opening set and cheer me on! Later that evening, the super talented & benevolent DJ-producer @miidomusic invited me on stage to mix in a few tracks during her stellar set.

Today, my Bandcamp purchased collection reached 420 (combined LP, EPs, and singles). I first started using this platform in 2010 when I couldn't find a specific song anywhere else.. That song was Skyward Housing by the Bay Area band Maus Haus. I was introduced to this song by Noise Pop when Maus Haus was added to the 2010 Treasure Island Music Festival lineup. This event became not only the catalyst for using Bandcamp but also my first visit to San Francisco - alongside my adventurous friend, @caleb.morrell . Incidentally, within 2 years we would both be Bay Area residents (serendipitous synchronicity appears most obvious in hindsight). So I'm writing this post to share my gratitude. I'm grateful for amazing friends and family that have supported my journey. I'm grateful for (usually) having enough disposable income to afford buying music from artists directly.. and I'm extremely grateful to artists who make & share music that moves us - sometimes across state lines đŞŠ
