@polkurucz called me to build 3 sets of nails for his movie “Charlie is not a Boy”. The nails had to be hard and resistant so the actresses could type with on vintage machines. All nails have been hand sculpted. The movie has its world premiere at Slamdance the 22th of February and I wish it to get some trophies caus’ it’s a visual masterpiece. … … … For the Ugliest/Kitch the jury voted for @nosferanora . You were almost out of the line and we still don’t understand how you can handsculpt such a beautiful skeleton but make such a gross nail. You are unpredictable, twisted and talented. Well done sweetheart. The jury decided to reward @fruityynails as the most creative nail. We were amazed by the complexity of the design. The way you incorporated a handmade jewel inside the thoracic cage of the dead animal connected the theme Jewel to the Bahamas mood. Pure perfection and dreamy vision of an ancient world. Congrats I almost cry writing those line. To end this competition the jury decided to attribute the last trophy as the best execution to @bbtnailz . I first thought this nail was boring until I realised you did everything by hand. This is how genius is flirting with insanity and I hope your health is ok cause I wouldn’t spend 7 days on a nail. Seeing the nail irl confirmed our choice my god you are with no discussion a true nail master. Remember those challengers that didn’t get the trophy that the jury is human and choice only comes from subjectivity. You are all worthy and talented. Can’t wait to see ur work on One Nail season 3 Xo

Honestly only one person really targeted the UGLY category so we decided to extend our vision of ugliness. I decided to incorporate kitch work in the process. Work that could lay in the living room of a cute english grandma. It was the only way to show more work.
