Hey pals, I donât think Iâve actually said - I have a show on this weekend at Music on Mainâs Modulus Festival. Perhaps youâve seen the auto FB-posts and wondered why Iâm calling myself anata? Sorry about that!! That was meâ I broke the auto post thing!! Ahemâ *Luddite Land Assembly* is this weekend at the Roundhouse Community Centre. As far as programming goes, if you liked the ethos of Sawdust Collector, but secretly craved a more complex production with pots of hot liquid, finicky chemical reactions and a bunch of buckets wearing natural dyed tube topsâ this is for you! And donât worry, there are also ways to spend time with us with your eyes half closed, listening to gorgeous sound and music. Itâs a lot of things put together â itâs kind of wildâ I canât believe weâre doing itâ but I think itâs going to be really great and I hope you can see it. Itâs all happening in an installation that features a bunch of my natural dyed and printed textilesâŚ3 years worth maybeâŚalong with some new writing. Here are some photos of what I look like rinsing natural dye by nightâŚAll of the schedule and ticket stuff is up at @theonlyanimaltheatre and @musiconmain !!! Some of it is sold out. Act now, smooches!!!

Hi fellow animals, anata laylay heređż
If you visited us at the Art Crawl, you may have seen our Luddite Land Assembly bandanas, designed by Keely OâBrien & natural-dyed by our very own Barbara Adler!
Weâre excited to bring these bandanas to Modulus Festival from November 7 - 9. Thisâll be your last chance to pick one up before the New Year! If you have a ticket to one of our shows at Modulus, these limited-run bandanas will be selling for $20 and our âmake it your ownâ misprint bandanas will be selling for a sliding scale of $10 - $15. Weâll have embroidery materials to make these bandanas have your own special touch. Just coming to the installation? You can pick up a bandana for $25 or $20-$15 for a misprint.
These have been dyed with plants we grew during The Growing Season. They are great as bandanas, tapestries, or gifts this winter.
We are only doing a run of 50 bandanas. If you want your own special Luddite Land Assembly piece, come see us at the Roundhouse Community Centre in Yaletown from November 7 - 9.

And, take a break in the sound room, along with all my ruffles. Itâs the first time Iâm sharing these pieces together, where I live. Iâd love you to see them ! 10 am - 5 pm pm at Rockwood Lodge, Sechelt. Venue 135. xxb
Hi fellow animals, anata laylay heređ¸
Hereâs a little sneak peek of what weâve been working onâŚ
During the Sunshine Coast Art Crawl this weekend and at Luddite Land Assembly in November, weâll be selling limited edition Luddite Land Assembly bandanas!
The bandanas are designed and printed by Keely OâBrien for Luddite Land Assembly, and natural-dyed by our very own Barbara Adler.
Keely OâBrien is an interdisciplinary artist whose practice incorporates handmade objects with innovative theatre creation. Devoted to a thoroughly DIY process, Keelyâs work includes experimental performance, imaginative ephemera, and interactive experiences. She often creates collaborative projects with community members who may not consider themselves artists, and invites the public to participate in unusual meaning-making experiences. Keely is Co-Artistic Director of Popcorn Galaxies, a theatre company with a focus on unconventionally structured, site-specific, and audience-activated performance. She holds a BFA in Theatre Performance from Simon Fraser University, and is a self and family-taught visual artist. She lives in Richmond, BC, on unceded territories of the hÉnĚqĚÉminĚÉmĚ speaking peoples.
Weâre only doing a run of 50 bandanas! If you want your own special bandana, come see us at the Rockwood Lodge in Sechelt from October 17 - 19 and at Roundhouse Community Centre in Yaletown from November 7 - 9.
