It’s here. Out of change, stillness, and reimagining often comes something new. 😊 I’m so thrilled to share: my forthcoming audiobook, Someday, Now, is coming September 30th wherever audiobooks are sold.
It’s a personal, transportive audio-original story about change, family, and the power of familiar places.
This one’s for anyone curious about possibility and navigating the in-between. But it’s especially for mothers headed into a new stage of life.

From book to screen, I hoped From Scratch would be not only a joyful love story, but also a beacon of light for viewers: a guide through the fog of illness, family conflict, loss, parenthood, and the everyday ups and downs of life. As a creative team, we endeavored to make a show that would be a classic, in the tradition of films like Terms of Endearment, Claudine, Cinema Paradiso, while also expanding a genre. We wanted to create a piece of art that people could return to again and again. A study in resilience. And we wanted to use a global platform to say something fundamental about humanity in a time of division. ✨ #ForYourConsideration #adaptation #booktoscreenadaptation #Emmy #womenempoweringwomen #femalefilmmakers #blackstoriesmatter
I could not be more humbled, proud and overjoyed to share this. I will be saying thank you for the rest of my life for every soul, every heart that made this happen. ~ Saro, abbiamo fatto un miracolò.❤️
The radiance of your love is extraordinary. ✨ What life revealed to me when I was blessed to become your mother is nothing short of divine. ❤️ My sweet child, may your power and creativity and grace help to light up a loving and caring and transformed world. And know that all the mothers who have loved you will be forever at your side! ❤️✨❤️✨
…When Mother’s Day hits the SAME month as graduation and the beginning of preparations to leave home, the cards and flowers bring ALL the feelings. 🥰😭😚🥳 ALL the bittersweet full circle moments. It’s like you wake up in May and suddenly one timeline ends and another begins. Trust me, I know. ✅ I write about the summer I spent wondering through Sicily (of course) when my daughter’s childhood and my motherhood were changing. I spill the tea in my audiobook SOMEDAY, NOW. ✨ How it felt, what I worried about, what I dreamed of, and how I found my way forward. It’s a must listen for moms in this season. ❤️
Midlife has a way of clarifying things.
By this stage, many of us know what drains us… and what makes us come alive.
This clip is from my @92ndstreety “Connected Lives” series, a fabulous conversation with @tembilocke and Sunny Hostin (@sunny ).
Here, Tembi discusses the life-changing, connections-building lessons revealed in her fantastic audio-first memoir, Someday, Now. Thank you, Tembi!!! My next Connected Lives event is coming up May 17th with @DanHarris . I hope to see you there! (Link in bio for tix)

Seven years ago today!! ❤️ Seven years ago, my first book, FROM SCRATCH, came into the world. As I talked publicly for the first time about the most intimate parts of my life, I summoned all my courage to show up authentically and openly. It was all so new. But the people who gave me grounding and inspiration were all the readers. Book lovers who saw their own truth inside the pages of my story and who graciously passed the book to someone else who needed to feel the same truth. Today, I celebrate all the people who helped me write the book AND those who helped me share it. ❤️ Especially @reesesbookclub and @simonandschuster and my tribe of beautiful friends and readers.
