TOKS @ 70!!!! 🥳🥰✈️🇳🇬 What can I say… if you’ve been on my stories this past week, you already know we had a eventFULL agenda 😅🎉 And despite the challenges and ‘gra gra’ that comes with Lagos, we pulled off a special 4 day celebration for the one and only Mama Tee, my mama 🤍 Last year she said she wanted to celebrate in Nigeria and if you know me you know I love a creative challenge and opportunity to curate an experiance that aligns and tells a story. She may be 70 but If you know my mum, you know she’s young at heart and despite spending a lot of her childhood, teens and early adulthood in Nigeria, she hadn’t really experienced the country in the way I had and so that was my number one priority, to give Mama Tee a birthday experience she will forever cherish and I think it’s fair to say I passed the test with flying colours, ✅✅✅ even at the cost of a lost voice, dehydration and slight hypertensions 😆😅 It’s always been me, my mum and my sister… ‘The Three Tee’s’ and even though I can forget sometimes, I’m constantly in awe of everything she’s achieved, overcome and built for our family. Her heart is big, Too big at times 😅 but I’m thankful for who she is (even when she grinds my gears) bcause I have to also remember she is also ‘just a baby gorl’ figuring it out too. I just pray she lives on to see more milestones and ages gracefully in every moment. (I can’t guarantee I’ll do this again, maybe by 75 I’ll have a whole team to help manage the planning, but until then it’s a card and chocolates for next few birthdays babe 🤪) Lastly to all those who came out to celebrate my mum, near and far, those who flew in, drove down etc and also those who supported me, big shout out too my mums brothers, their families, and her friends I pray you too will have an abundance of support in your times of celebrations. This one was truly special, a Platinum birthday for a Platinum (blonde) babe Love you mama!! 70 is just the beginning. ❤️
