On 8th of July in 2013, I got myself a 76 cm sea trout following a proper summer rain - while my then six year old daughter - straight after applying some insect repellent - took a break from her crayons and got her first ever pay check for a photo credit in a fly fishing magazine. #flyfishing #troutfishing #carpedíem

New Zealand-episode-drop! It’s a bit hard to remember what we expected, Emilie Björkman and I, when we in April of 2025 started shooting the first episode for Loop’s ambitions fly fishing series Wild fish. Wild places with Emilie Björkman. Now 10 months later, and launching the sixth episode from dream destination New Zealand — featuring some of the absolute finest fly fishers there is — I’m sure expectations are far exceeded. Thanks a million, to Tony Entwistle, Simon Chu, Charlie Smith and Tom Hodge for leading us through some pretty rough conditions and landing us at the end of a rainbow. You are all such stars. And to Emilie for being just as awesome in every-sense-of-the-word as always and Ali for driving on the wrong side and grabbing all those shots that the edit would be completely lost without. Episode is out on Loop’s Youtube and link in bio.
Watching the new @looptackle Wild Fish / Wild Places episode in Sweden that launched yesterday brought back so many great memories. Almost 10 years ago, we were in that same place, it’s where I first met @emilie.bjorkman and @tedlogardt . At the time, we were producing a TV show for @hooke.ca with our crew, Ted Logart was photographing the trip, and Emily was hosting us and showing us around her home waters.
We were lucky enough to chase those big migratory trout in Ammarnäs and experience unforgettable night fishing. Such good times and great memories. These images are from our adventure in northern Sweden back in 2017.
Make sure to go watch the new Wild Fish / Wild Places episode on the LOOP YouTube channel to learn more about these incredible trout and congrats to Emily and Ted, you’re doing amazing work. Can’t wait to get back on the water with you.
