Today I passed one of my favorite traditions, so here’s a little Mother’s Day story time. Ever since my daughters were about eight years old, they started making me breakfast in bed for Mother’s Day. If families had official vegetables like states have flowers, ours would be the carrot. They would dice and cook a carrot in Worcestershire sauce and garlic powder. They knew I loved eggs on toast so they would crack an egg and put it on a piece of bread, and them microwaved it to barely cooked. We had to teach Clementine the recipe so she could make the same meal for her mommy. Cailin enjoyed every bite just as much as I did.
