I’ve always been a sucker for love so when I was asked to paint a double decker bus for a massive exhibition in east London where the theme is love, one of my dreams came true. It was like being back in the yard, but without the stress 😅 I wanted to combine my text with a proper background as I rarely have time to do so. I sent over a bunch of ideas and Dave fell for this one for the side of the bus. A hot air balloon in the shape of a heart taking off while I’m watching it fly away. We also got to do either the front or the back of the bus and since the back was called for I made a plan for the front. A big face covered in different colours running down the face, using the same or similar colours as the side of the bus. It was a bit of a challenge, but I’m quite happy with the result. Growing up I founded LSB - Lovesick Bombers and I was also in another crew, RGL - Rubber Glove Love 😅 so the theme was definitely made for me. We definitely need more love in the world and graffiti has been the love of my life since the mid 80s.
