We’re so thrilled to finally share the SmartFlyer Penthouse, home to the global headquarters of the luxury travel agency, set within a former residence atop a historic warehouse in Chelsea’s gallery district. We aimed to redefine what a headquarters for a company like SmartFlyer can be. We approached this project less as designing an office and more as exploring the possibilities of a private club. Embracing the concept of “third spaces,” the design transformed this former residence into more than just a place to live or work. It became a gathering space that fosters community and culture for the brand’s travel and hospitality network. A much-needed and well-deserved springtime pick-me-up with our fabulous friends at @seriatim_inc 🌸 We kicked off our 2025 event season with a Spring Fling art party curated by the one and only @theartrevival_ who brought together four incredible artists for a one-night-only show: Giggle & Gaze. From @nicholas_devlin ‘s drippy sculptures and @emmagracehapner ‘s eye-catching pink, to @catcantspeak mischievous goose lady and @jameshsieh1201 NYC monsters — the art brought the whimsy, weirdness, and wonder. And the art pieces weren’t the only curiosities in the room - from real estate developers and architects, to storytellers, engineers, financial planners, integrators, and a self proclaimed witch. There was no shortage of personality in this room. You know what they say about all work and no play... Last week’s field trip to @mercer.labs was next-level! 🚀 Techmenity teamed up with @designspec.com_ and @think_construction for an exclusive tour of the LIMITLESS exhibit. We explored 15 mind-bending rooms that fused audio, video, art, AI, and robotics in ways we’re still talking about. Immersive play is the new networking!  Afterwards we took the party to @mezcalifidi to talk about our favorite parts of the experience (the Dragon 🐉 room) and connect with other creative people across the design-build industry. There’s nothing we love more than bringing good people together to spark ideas and plant the seeds for future collaborations (while eating 🌮🌮 and drinking margaritas 🤌🤌🤌).
