“It’s painfully obvious that anti-abortion extremists are targeting #shieldlaws because they are working.” TEACH is so proud of the advocacy wins we have had along the way. From strengthening the #reproworkforce, to increasing access to #abortion, and especially passing ground breaking legislation that protects access to #mifepristone and #abortionproviders and their capacity to serve their patients in #CA and across the nation-- TEACH is honored to be on the front lines with our partners in this fight. This year, we are supporting #AB2164. This bill strengthens California’s shield laws by prohibiting future governors from honoring extradition requests for individuals who provide or assist with #reproductivehealthcare services or #genderaffirmingcare that are protected by California’s shield laws. Shield laws are here to stay, and we will always fight to protect our network of providers. 💙 Read the full article by clicking the link in our bio! 🔗

The California Future of Abortion Council (#FABCouncil), comprised of more than 50 organizations from across California, released a new report highlighting 48 policy recommendations that state leaders and lawmakers can pursue to protect and expand #abortion access in the state as attacks from the Trump Administration, Congress, and federal courts seek to devastate the abortion and reproductive health care safety net nationwide, including in California.  TEACH leads the Workforce Committee, deepening our commitment to strengthening CA’s reproductive healthcare workforce, expanding access to abortion care throughout the state, and protecting abortion providers from hostile attacks. We won’t sit back as abortion is on the chopping block; in California we will continue to fight for our human right to bodily autonomy and essential healthcare. 🌟 Tap the 🔗 in our bio to read the FAB report to learn more about the FAB council’s 2026 legislative priorities and how TEACH will champion legislation that supports and sustains the repro healthcare workforce in CA! 💙

Hi friends! We wanted to let you know about a powerful event coming soon. @teachprogram , @reproforallca , and @ppmarmonte are screening the documentary film, Zurawski v Texas, on November 9, 2025 at the New Parkway Theatre in Oakland at 3pm. 🎥 This is a free event, but RSVPs are required to reserve a seat at the theatre. RSVP can be found in @teachprogram ’s bio ✨ #zurawskivtexas is a powerful film that portrays the stories of three Texas women who were denied #abortion healthcare despite facing life threatening complications from their pregnancies. Lawyers from the Center for @reprorights did a momentous job of representing the women in the Texas courts. This film will broaden one’s understanding of Reproductive Justice and the harm caused by abortion bans. Following the movie, there will be opportunities to mix, mingle, and chat with local reproductive rights activists. Come say hi. 💙 Please share with your friends and colleagues! Hope to see you at the event! 🎤

🌟Specific programs for CA based residents and existing providers ONLY🌟 Calling all California based family medicine, @rhedifammed residents and practicing providers 📣 @teachprogram has amazing abortion training opportunities and resources for you! 🎉 If you are completing your residency at a RHEDI site in CA, you can bring the CREATE program to your residency (if it doesn’t already have one of course! 😉) The #CREATEprogram is a structured advanced training curriculum for third year family medicine residents, or other advanced trainees, planning to provide medication and procedural abortions after residency. This application based program offers additional #abortiontraining opportunities, #reproductivehealth and #reprojustice curriculum, structured mentorship support, and both advocacy and leadership development that begins to address the obstacles faced by aspiring #abortionproviders as they make the transition from training to practice. To bring this program to your residency, click the link in @teachprogram ’s bio to learn more! ✨ A resource for CA based exisiting providers is TEACH’s Integrate Reproductive Health Initiative! 💙 This initiative helps integrate full spectrum reproductive health — including #abortion and early #pregnancyloss management — into existing #primarycare practices. The program is looking for California-based primary care practices that are established in community health centers and #FQHCs wanting to integrate abortion and early pregnancy loss management. The application process is rolling (between 2024 - 2027). To learn more, click the link in @teachprogram ’s bio to begin the application process and integrate #abortioncare into your practice! 🩺 RHEDI and TEACH are stronger than ever, united as one organization with a mission to train the next generation of abortion providers. 💙✨🩺 🌟 FOLLOW @teachprogram TO GET ALL RHEDI UPDATES 🌟
