New: Tocapu by
@paovec , a retrospective look at the conquest of the Inca Empire; a tribute to Andean resistance and their struggle to keep their culture alive.
Forced to adopt European artistic models, Indigenous artists subtly embedded elements of Inca cosmovision into their work without detection. This cultural syncretism inspired Paola to explore how Andean resistance might have appeared in type design.
Built on the functionality of sans serif typefaces, the design integrates reinterpretations of Inca tocapu to shape its personality, sitting between the contemporary and the ancestral. The typeface honours the past while looking forward.
Available in 7 weights and a variable font, with extensive Latin support and OpenType features. Designed for projects requiring a modern tone with a distinctive human character.
