At 3:05am on April 16th, my beautiful Mamma took her final breath. At just 67 years old. Wayyyy too bloody young!!
(And 5 years to the day since her first cancer diagnosis)
She was the strongest, most resilient woman I’ve ever known — traits she passed on to both me and my sister. She fought hard to stay with us, but it wasn’t meant to be.
Helping care for her with my sister in her final days was one of the greatest honours of my life. And yes we played her lots of her beloved John Farnham in those days, (Thanks Tan for singing to her and making her smile…it was the last ever smile I saw on her face)
She passed with both her girls holding her hands as she slipped away.
Mamma’s strength, love, and resilience are woven into everything I am.
We had our ups and downs over the years but in the end there was always love.
Thank you to everyone who has reached out with love and support — it means a lot.
Rest easy now, Mamma. You gave it everything you had, and then some.
I’ll carry you with me always 💜
Mum’s funeral will be held at midday on April 28th at the Bunbury Crematorium, followed by a celebration of her life at her beloved Bunbury Speedway. 🏁

Your comments fueled us, kept us pushing through when we were stressed, overworked and doubting ourselves. Girls, WE BLOODY DID IT! (And will CONTINUE to do it….after a rest 😂)
