I stopped watching the NFL after what they did to Kaepernick. It didn’t sit right with me, and it still doesn’t. But I always find my way back to the halftime show on YouTube. The last couple of years, those performances have been about more than music or spectacle. They carried real emotion, history, and a sense of belonging. Tiffany Thomas is an accomplished American screenwriter and Emmy and Ovation Award-winning producer. Tiffany began her career in entertainment as a comedy actress, gaining recognition for her roles in Black Girl in a Big Dress and The Mandalorian. Her passion for storytelling led her to pursue a career as a narrative producer. 🎤🎬 💫
Starting as a production intern, Tiffany’s dynamic journey in entertainment resulted in her producing the Emmy Award-winning documentary Defending the Homeland: Native Americans in the Armed Services and the P.A.F.F. Best Documentary winner 41st & Central: The Untold Story of the L.A. Black Panthers. She has also produced several award-winning short films including Unconditional (Burbank International, Bronze Lens, Tokyo International Short Film and P.A.F.F. Best Short Nominee), Unbraided (Santa Barbara Film Festival, Essence Film Festival, and Nevada City Film Festival), and the soon to be released Unexpected Ties and Legends. 🏆🎥🎞️
In addition to producing, Tiffany is a successful television writer. She is a staff writer on the Disney animated series The Proud Family: Louder and Prouder reboot and has several pilots to her credit, including the dark comedy, Frankie, directed by renowned show creator Ralph Farquhar. Tiffany has also written for Rise Up, Sing Out, developed a film for Disney+, and is currently working on a number of shows in development for Disney Jr.📝🎬⭐️
