Happy #juneteenth everyone! Our big news is finally here!! 🥳🎊🎉🎉🎉 At last year’s BNA Summit, we focused on building the skills — now it’s time to own the narrative. Introducing the BNA Artist Fellowship! A short film program for Black animation talent. We’re aiming to support 3 to 5 teams (each made up of at least 3 BNA members) to create original animated shorts, powered by guidance from industry mentors. Goal: $30,000 This’ll go toward artist stipends, mentorship honorariums, and making this whole thing possible. We’re an artist-led organization, so we’re taking all the proper steps to make this as effective and fun as possible. This first course is hand-crafted for intermediate-level artists ready to elevate their design instincts and talk face to face with two Disney artists.  Students will leave with a stronger understanding of designing within a pipeline, what to include in a portfolio, and knowledge of how characters are built to meet episodic production demands. Introducing BNA’s Stripe Sessions, a series of training workshops and classes hosted by professionals throughout the industry! These classes are open to both Members and Non-Members alike and run across multiple experience levels, so whether you’re an animator just starting out or just need to push to the next level, you’re invited to join! Our first course is Character Design for TV animation. Enrollment comes in at $110 for Members, and $180 for Non-Members.
