I had a blast playing at @wondervillenyc with @flavourschangeallday and @san.delila this past sunday. The games at wonderville are so great - I had no idea that proper indie arcade games were a thing! @mark_shaw came out and somehow shot enough to make this very cool video while i didn’t even realize what was happening, thank you so much!! also shoutout to @weareelektron for making gear that lets me just reshape and reimagine my music in real time. It’s such a joy to have really playable electronic instruments; I can have an idea mid-set and just make it happen. #electronicmusic #dawless #livemusic

SYNTH/ELECTRONIC BIRTHDAY SHOW! This Friday, April 3, join us for a special night of synths, space cowboys, and sounds from space. Featuring Bunny X, Ships in the Night, Sycretist, and IONNA, this curated lineup brings together artists pushing electronic music into new dimensions.

SAVE THE DATE: 4/3 Very excited to announce - SHIPS IN THE NIGHT, IONNA, SYNCRETIST - and in their first RVA show, BUNNY X from NYC. TICKETS ARE NOW AVAILABLE - url at end of post. Come on out for a night of soaring vocals, dark drama, deep harmonies and rhythms that will help you shake off the work week. Bunny X, based in NYC, are inspired by all things 80s and release a blend of retrowave and italo disco music. Influences include Depeche Mode, the Pet Shop Boys and early Madonna as well as synthwave artists like FM Attack, NINA and Timecop1983. Their most recent album, Love Minus 80, is a concept-driven collection of songs that were inspired by several sci-fi novels and films from the 1980s. Ships In The Night is an electrifying mix of haunting, dark electronic and ethereal, ambient lullabies. Alethea Leventhal’s magnetic solo project pulls from dreams, memories and echoes from the outer world to paint an atmospheric landscape with sweeping waves of synths and kinetic beats. IONNA is the synth-pop project of Soraya Teschner — a cinematic blend of emotion, melody, and myth. The debut album IONNAVERSE unfolds through the voice of its namesake character, weaving tales of distant worlds, cyber-snake-people, and cosmic missions. Syncretist brings a fresh take on electro, instrumental hip hop, space synth journeys and 90s IDM, performed in a continuous mix of reworked songs from OSCILLATED INCIDENTS as well as new material. audiointerface.org is a very cool project from Pete Xylander, operating from an undisclosed location in the UK, which aims to share some of the fantastic electronic music being made by unsigned artists. There are themed “radio” shows released periodically, with focusses on different genres and vibes. These are a great source of new and interesting music; the selection and sequencing are top notch. All you have to do is subscribe in your podcast player and they just show up. I’ve previously had tracks on both *Forgotten Futures* and *Disturbing Dreams*. A new episode of Transverse Tempo just dropped, and there’s a syncretist track nestled in midway through the show. /shows/transverse-tempo/ Pete & C.Circo (who does Transverse Tempo) aren’t on insta anymore but you can find them on Mastodon and Bluesky. 2025 saw the proper launch of syncretist into the world. I played richmond, dc, new york city twice and kingston, put shows together with bands I love at venues I’d never been to, and made so many new friends. 2026 will see several single releases, a remix, a live album and hopefully an EP - the EP is the only thing that’s not completed! also, i forgot to turn off free shipping and someone in australia bought a tape 🤣 Special thanks to @architraveband for being MVPs and showing up for literally everything I proposed to them, we played four shows together and they are amazing, and to @ionna.world who elevate every bill they play with amazing positive energy.
