THE HI RESOS ARE IN!! It’s been just under a week since the premiere of our dance piece Lightning Rod but it still just feels like I’m in the theatre solving small details left and right with our team. Presented are some of my favorite moments from last weekend’s performance captured by @ph0t0kat and @bethany_grace_creates ! I am so very proud of all of the BIG MOVE BIG IDEAS choreographers, dancers and organizers that made the weekend one to remember and I hope that they know the level up of production is recognized. And while it’s sad that it’s over, taking my learned experience into the next project feels inspirational and I can’t wait to get started on whatever is next! FUNDRAISER ON THE HORIZON!! It is with great honor I’m happy to announce that I have joined the Immersive Theatre company @mixedmetaphorsclt for this year’s production of Dauntless: An Ode to 2916! Teaming up with partners @qcfamilytree , we will be taking over a historic house in the Enderly community and constructing a room by room walkthrough theatre experience filled with set design, storytelling and multimedia components. I’m so excited to be the Music Director have the opportunity to compose a soundtrack that helps further dial in our message throughout the house and absolutely cannot wait to execute this collaborative project.. Opening night is 8/20 but I’ll be bringing everyone along on our process. Lastly we have a fundraiser next Thursday at the @iph_clt where all proceeds will go directly to the funding of our show. If you aren’t familiar with Mixed Metaphors this will be a perfect chance to dive into thier work and get pumped for this summer’s production! WORLD PREMIERE TONIGHT! Join us this evening as we celebrate the intersection of music, film, dance and fashion!! Tonight marks the first showing of Wirelessly Transmitted Diseases and A Stitch in Time both produced last year and finally making it through post production. Each piece takes a stand on different facets of modern society and we would greatly appreciate if you were able to come see all the hard work we’ve put in over the past year and a half. TIME TO BOOM! It’s a big weekend for the Charlotte art community as @clt_boom officially kicks off its programming today. The weekend festival sees more than 400 artists come together for 3 days of original works taking over the The Shoppes at University Place. I’m so grateful to be presenting COLORWAYS tomorrow night as dusk falls for a very special evening of light and sound. With new releases debuting this is a great opportunity to see a visual capacity I dearly want to expressing more and tomorrow you get the full experience! Starting at 8pm I’ll have an in the round installation you can come see and hear panel full of ambient compositions, experimentsl sound design and larger than life originally constructed visuals!
