Still dreaming about our magical escape to Floral Island, a hidden paradise we found through Airbnb that somehow felt both untouched and deeply cared for. Nestled in the bluest waters of the Philippines, the island is surrounded by a thriving coral garden, teeming with vibrant fish, curious turtles, and two breathtaking coves with powdery white sand. Every sunrise and sunset felt like a blessing.
Our incredible hosts, Flora and Martin, welcomed us like family. They live on the island with the warmest team and a brilliant chef who spoiled us every single day. From learning how to catch and eat fresh sea urchin straight from the ocean, to swimming alongside 70 year old turtles, to laughing over unforgettable karaoke nights, every moment was crafted with so much heart. Jake, our amazing guide and now friend, taught us how to respect and truly experience the underwater world, leaving us in awe of nature’s magic.
They even organized a dreamy lunch on a deserted sandbar, surrounded by nothing but endless sea and sky, an experience I’ll carry with me forever. Nine friends, three little wild-hearted boys, and one beautiful island made memories we’ll never be able to recreate but will always cherish.
Grateful for every second, every swim, every song. Floral Island, you have a piece of my heart.

Exploring Palermo with The Big Daddy crew was a vibe of its own. From the breathtaking cathedral, the majestic Teatro Massimo and the eerie catacombs, we indulged in endless arancinas and gelatos while every street looked straight out of a movie. The depth and skill in Palermo’s architecture and art are breathtaking, woven into every corner of the city. And, of course, we couldn’t resist chasing stories of Sicily’s infamous mafiosos.
Special shoutout to that gelato in the softest, most delicious bun that holds so well from Cappadonia, I almost cried. Can’t wait to go back to Sicily again! 🤍

Throughout our journey on the catamaran we called home, Big Daddy, we docked at numerous ports and visited some beautiful and quaint towns in Sardegna. My favorite town among them was San Pantaleo. It’s so pretty, with plenty to explore as you walk around. The local brands are lovely, the food and gelato are delicious, and the quality of seafood is to die for. I highly recommend San Pantaleo to anyone visiting Italy. In fact, I’d recommend Sardegna as a whole. Here are some snippets from that beautiful day and stormy night.
