Join us on Thursday 30 April at Riversmith for a relaxed evening of community and connection with Four on the Floor as we bring together four creative thinkers for unscripted open conversation.
Just good thinking, honest stories and the kind of conversations that only happen when interesting people share the same floor. What follows is an open conversation about creativity, process, failure, success, the messy business of making ideas real and everything in between.
All welcome - this is an opportunity to meet and chat with other like-minded people in our industry!

Recent brand refresh for @thegrovedistillery . Margaret River’s first distillery established in 1995:
Not every brand needs to shout louder.
Some just need to slow things down.
The Grove didn’t need to chase tourists.
It needed to become a destination.

We are now working on an evolution of the Creative Corner website and a robust South West Creative Directory designed to assist the South West creative community to connect, collaborate and succeed.
By creating an accessible, professional platform that showcases creative talent across the region, the Creative Directory addresses a long-recognised gap; a lack of visibility, connection and discoverability for South West creative professionals. It will make it easier for government, businesses and producers to find local creatives, while helping creative professionals to connect, collaborate, and grow, all with the aim of keeping creative work, investment and identity within our region.
Our vision is for the South West to be recognised as the epicentre of WA’s creative class. A place where creative careers grow, creative businesses thrive and experienced professionals invest in the next generation.
Your feedback is valuable to us! If you would like to have a say just complete the survey using the link in bio👆
Thank you to the @citybusselton and South West Development Commission for supporting this initiative.

We all know and love @margsbakery and now it just got even better with an ultra cool mural to brighten your day by artist @fwillustration
Walks by the sea, croissant in hand, humpbacks breaching in the distance. Morning sun on my cheeks, plant shadows brightening the walkways.
’Shadows by the Sea’ is a celebration of the Margaret River coastal region, from its beaches and wildlife, to its forests and plants. Commissioned by Margaret River Bakery, the artwork features coastal plant shadows and mini croissants – one of the bakery’s best sellers!

Join Danielle Fitzgerald for an intimate artist talk and walk-through of her exhibition Venus 8: Flesh & Foam. This project has been the last four years of her life, a slow, careful documentary journey into the private, liminal and often unseen spaces of dancers and s workers in Western Australia.
During the talk, she’ll guide you through the work and share the ideas that shaped it. Before Danielle ever picked up the camera for this project, she spent months studying the philosophy around visibility, agency, embodiment, and who gets to be represented. Those questions became the backbone of Venus 8 and still influence the way she shoots and tells stories today.
She’ll also talk about why she named the series Venus 8, what Flesh & Foam means within the world of the work, and how the project continues to evolve. Danielle will share more about her practice, from building trust and shared authorship with the people she photographs, to navigating censorship, to developing a visual language that honours their lives with care and clarity.
She’ll finish with an open Q&A, so you’re welcome to ask anything about the work, the ethics, the process, or the world behind these images. Danielle would love to see you there and walk you through this chapter of Venus 8 in person.

Our program is known for its surprise cameos and Friday is no exception. Introducing David (aka Nobby) Nobay - Co-Founder Favourite Child Studio.
One of our “DROP IN” speakers has just launched Favourite Child Studio with Stephen Tate. An industry heavyweight and an inspirational figure whose impact speaks for itself. David Nobay (aka Nobby) is the kind of creative who doesn’t just shift brands - he shifts culture.
With a career that’s taken him from London and New York to Sydney, he’s racked up over 40 Cannes Lions, led Saatchi & Saatchi Sydney to three consecutive Campaign Brief Australian Agency of the Year titles, built agencies like Droga5 Sydney and Marcel from the ground up, and earned a spot on AdAge’s Top 50 Global Creative Thinkers.
But awards only tell half the story. Nobby’s known for taking risks others won’t — from penning plays and staging art exhibitions, to turning ABC’s ArtBreaks into experimental poetry films. His mantra? Double the trust. Halve the budget.
Forget the stage lights and PowerPoint decks — this is Nobby, unplugged from 5pm. At the HEART bar, you’ll get a raw, unfiltered peek inside the mercurial mind that’s been blowing up the ad world for three decades. Expect riffs, tangents, big ideas, maybe even a little chaos - because when David Nobay drops in, the conversation never behaves itself. Grab a drink, lean in, and see where the madness takes you.
