This is a pretty special time in my world: I've been growing a little one for the past 6 months (internally), gently getting closer to the day we can meet. This feels like the best creation I could ever wish to make, and I'm particularly fond of how little control I have over it: my body is doing what it knows, and my mind learns to adjust and trust.
This gouache painting is of the pregnancy test that I ended up crocheting into that little creature-friend - the joy that day was too big to do anything else.
I feel very lucky to be able to embark on this parenting journey and to do so with a wonderful partner.
And painting wise, let's say that explains a little my online absence (fatigue is real, so I've focused my energy to the tangible world). It also means that some things will be on pause for a little while, especially on the teaching front*
I'm really hoping to keep my personal painting practice active as much as I can throughout those big changes, but also giving myself the kindness to find my own pace.
*The last workshop I'll be delivering before this pause is with the @dulwichartgroup 12-13th of April
It really takes friends to remind you how much joy plein air painting is -and to find the madness to get the brushes out despite the cold and intermittent rain! Thankfully there was also some beautiful sunshine (and over the top rainbows) to make it all exciting. Thanks Kay @kayhattonart for making this happen!
I got to push the painting a little further once back home and presented it at the current @bakersat70 exhibition, where it found its forever home on the Opening night last Saturday. What a sweet feeling!
The show is on this week, every day 11 am - 6pm until the 22.02, then by appointment for an extra week. You can still see my little plein air, my bigger piece “Carningli Slumber” and a very varied range of fantastic artworks from fellow local artists.

CHRISTMAS MAKERS MARKET!
I’m delighted to be part of a couple of Xmas markets this year. The first one is with the Womart Collective as I got the chance to step in for someone who could no longer make it, which felt super lucky but also meant A LOT of work to get it all ready in time. Really pleased with the result, and so so grateful to be part of such a lovely makers market. I’ll be there to invigilate on the very last day, Saturday the 20th.
The Seagull Gallery, Cardigan
9th – 20th December 2025
Tues – Sat, 10am–5pm
The Seagull Gallery, Cardigan SA43 1HA
Cash only event
Come along to shop handmade gifts, crafts, and art from local women makers — perfect for thoughtful, sustainable Christmas presents. Every purchase supports a small independent business and helps keep our creative community thriving.
Expect cosy festive vibes, beautiful handmade work, and a warm welcome from our Womart Collective art collective
And this coming Saturday I’ll be involved with a second market for a beautiful day event in Newport, Pembrokeshire.
Lantern Parade, Live music and food - all from 3pm and into the night!
Hope to see you there!
Very quick little thing on paper as I was preparing the first pre-recorded video to my Online Creative Sessions. Very touched to start meeting the participants - I believe it's a beautiful journey we're about to embark on.
There's still time to join, with a first live session in 2 weeks.

Local fundraiser for Palestine tonight (would love to see you there if you live close by)
The painting made for the flyer will be auctioned on the night, trying to help in the small ways I can. ♥️🖤🤍💚
This one’s found a home ❤️ Thank you @tideskitchenandwinebar for having them on display in your fantastic restaurant (not biased!). I’m so glad it’s giving my paintings an opportunity to be seen & fallen in love with 🥰
I’m making some more studies, painted during Life Drawing sessions, available by auction through the Oriel Q yearly fund raiser. The @orielqgallery is a volunteer and artist lead art gallery located in Narberth, Pembrokeshire that I’ve joined earlier in the Summer. Once a month I go there for the day to invigilate this vibrant space and it’s been so energising. Having moved to Pembrokeshire 1.5y ago it's taken me some time to find my peers and art network, but gradually it’s taking shape and the benefit of it is huge.
Oriel Q will host the Exhibition Preview this coming Saturday, presenting the paintings to be auctioned until the 11th of October. I'll be there! You can also access all the lot on their website and bid digitally. My three paintings would love to find their forever home!

I added a second session for the English speaking class: you’ll get to choose between Thursday evening and Sunday morning for the live session.
Once recorded, each session will be available at a reduced price - giving you access to all the pre-recorded content to follow at your own pace. That will hopefully make it more flexible around busy schedules, meaning you don’t have to commit to every life session, but will still receive all the content and support of the group.
Feel free to send me a DM if you’d like to come to the Q&A session on Sunday the 21st of September (a short Teams meeting where I’ll present the sessions and answer all yours questions. Come and find out if these sessions are right for you - no commitment, just curiosity!
This time in French with English subtitles :)

Not yet finished, but bringing me a lot of joy from its presence in my living room (with its discrete 4x4ft size!)
Collaborative work in progress that’s been such a joy to explore this Summer.
You might remember a first post a few weeks ago showing how it started: painted live during a music festival (thanks to @breakout_gallery for making it possible!), I was already inviting people to join in with the picture making: as my painted character is herself drawing, I wanted people to get inspired so we could all create alongside one another.
A couple of weeks later I was bringing the painting to the first edition of the “Creative Climate Fest” where I continued asking for collaboration. Beautiful drawing were created in response, and as they day went by I started incorporating them as trompe l’oeil to my piece: a way to make those ephemeral drawings last, and for me to playfully incorporate them into my painting, responding to their motif to pick the right placement.
I’m yet to finish up some detailing on the trompe l’oeil and to resolve a few things in the general composition and figure, but it’s already been such a joy working with the input of others.
I’m pretty sure this painting is only the first seed for more: if I can dream it, I’d love to create bigger pieces to work on with schools and various publics, co-creating big dreamscape that could then be left on site, in door and outdoor.
Similarly to the online sessions I’m putting together (currently finishing the website page, more tomorrow!) my big desire is to bring more creativity into our daily life, for it to not be gate kept by people who already feel like “artists”, but to everyone. Taking away the daunting aspects, putting forward the freedom and playfulness, making rooms for emotions and a language that is not spoken.
