On February 20th at 7.30pm there will be a fundraiser for the children of Gaza - raising money for War Child - in The Attic Theatre, Newcastle Emlyn.
Wear Child charity is the only specialist charity for children affected by conflict. They’re driven by a single goal – ensuring a safe future for every child living through war.
There will be music, film, poetry, live theatre and an auction of wonderful pieces of art by local artists.
This Saturday in The Seagull Gallery (49 St Mary Street, Cardigan) there is a preview of the artworks up for auction from 10am - 6pm. Sealed bids on all lots will be accepted at the gallery from 7th to 18th (opening times to follow).
There will also be also be a complimentary drink and nibbles - we also have live music !!
Today in The Seagull (49 St Mary Street 10-5 pm) you won't see this handsome chap ( in his lovely upcycled tie made from a linen T Towel ) but you will see many beautiful locally made items plus 'Norman' neckties - the perfect Christmas gift for any loved one.

White Ribbon Day tomorrow 25th November
The Seagull , 49 St Mary Street, Cardigan will be open for hot soup (for a donation to White Ribbon Campaign) and artwork to see and buy 2-4pm - Glenn Ibbitson, Rin Woolley & Narda.
Evening 6.45pm local original poetry, music and readings.

Next Tuesday is UK White Ribbon Day, November 25, 2025. This day is part of an international campaign aimed at raising awareness and taking action to end violence against women and girls. It marks the beginning of the “16 Days of Activism Against Gender-Based Violence,” a global campaign that runs until December 10, International Human Rights Day.
The event at The Seagull, 49 St Mary Street starts at 6.45pm with drinks and small eats available to buy - proceeds to White Ribbon.
We have a CASH BAR.
If possible please book your free ticket from /e/white-ribbon-day-tickets-1681548... so we can gauge numbers for catering. There will be limited tickets on the door too.
There will be artwork on display by Glenn Ibbitson, Rin Woolley and Narda. We will have poetry, readings and music by local artists.
We aim for the evening to be hopeful and informative.
We aim to raise funds and awareness to spread the word that Men should 'Speak Up' about the issue.
