Whale Beach House
By Sustainable Design and Construct
Architect: Neeson Murcutt Neille
This multi-generational home, recognised for both its construction and architectural excellence, harmonises beautifully with its surroundings, balancing rugged rock formations behind with sweeping coastal views in front.
With an extensive list of construction and architecture awards, this project involved the construction of a new home, blending concrete, timber, and steel. The build included a swimming pool, inclinator, and extensive landscaping, all set on a steep, thickly vegetated hillside.
Precision was essential: we leased a factory on the Central Coast to pre-fabricate much of the detailed timber work, packed in sequence for efficient craning and installation.
We’ve recently revisited this beauty to do some minor refreshing. Always a delight going back and admiring a beautiful design and great craftsmanship after a few years! #Repost @ianmoorearchitects with @get_repost

Today marks the 30th anniversary of the establishment of Ian Moore Architects in 1990. I would like to thank all of my clients, collaborators, builders, consultants, staff, family and friends for their trust, support, skill and encouragement over what has been a very enjoyable journey so far. Looking forward to the next 30.
