Sharing Space šŖš§ø
We you want to extend our deepest gratitude to everyone in attendance last weekend. There was a real appreciation for the slower, textured, more patient side of things. We heard from many of you, both during and after, how much you want more nights like this and weāre looking forward to making that happen.
We tried something new with āDancefloor Recoveryā, having @_lewadny offering free massage throughout the night. It added a really grounding, restorative layer to the experience, a place to reset without leaving the room. Grateful to him for holding that space so thoughtfully.
Again, thank you to the artists, staff, and everyone involved. We estimate that the IQ and the dance floor was over 10,000. Thatās impressive.
More soon.

Our upcoming event with @captivate_____ & @openend__ moves across a wide spectrum of dance music. These slides highlight a sound thatās played a quiet but important role in shaping that spectrum, Autonomic.
While you may not hear it in its pure form all night, its influence runs through the artists, the pacing, and the feeling of the room. Itās part of the DNA behind how this night was built.
Weāre sharing this as a way to give context, not to define the night. Support System isnāt about one sound, itās about the space between them, and how they connect.
This is only a small window into it, there are many key figures and moments not covered here. Feel free to add to it in the comments š
May 2nd - Support System returns with a night of autonomic and techno-adjacent sounds, welcoming @captivate_____ and @openend__
captivate joins from Vancouver, bringing a sound rooted in UK rave lineage, soundsystem culture, and left-field sensibilities. After a previous appearance at Pull Up, this set leans further into his current direction.
OpenEnd returns to Calgary after years shaping the local scene, now based on the Sunshine Coast. His production draws from drum & bass, now focused through autonomic and techno, with an emphasis on texture, rhythm, and atmosphere.
Traditionally rooted in dubstep, @vyla_140 makes her Support System debut with a techno-leaning set that weaves dubstepās origins into pulsing, hard groove, dancefloor-focused rhythms.

Remember, everyone needs a Support System.
Support System founder Metafloor takes listeners on a journey through weight, groove, and the strange leftfield corners of club music. Rooted in dubstep, footwork, and halftime, his sets move with joyful chaos held together with great care and intent. Support System grew naturally from that same instinct. When heās not building the night, heās the one pushing the system somewhere unexpected.

Polite Sound is the system powering the night. Built by the venueās elusive owner and originally designed with techno in mind, weāre constantly impressed by its ability to deliver the full spectrum, particularly in the realm of bass music and more demanding genres.
Itās powered countless parties across Calgary over the last 4ā5 years, supporting the underground with class. These days it lives at the venue, dialed in specifically for the room, clean, punchy, and balanced. Keep it polite and let the this rig wash over you. š„

Crimson brings a refined patience and instinctive precision to the room, knowing exactly when the kick should drop and when to let a track breathe.
His roots in Calgaryās bass scene go back to the late 2000s, playing nights like Modern Math, and his involvement with Rinseout crew, who were instrumental in introducing proper UK dubstep in the city. Today Crimson continues that lineage through both his DJ sets and his own productions, balancing groove, depth, and leaning into the rare b-sides of 140 and more.
For Cam, Dubstep is nothing with our its 2-step foundation, the groove, the motion and that essential percussive swing. Heās a pretty rad dude tbh.

A face Calgary is becoming increasingly familiar with, Malina brings a graceful presence to the booth thatās reflected in her selections. Moving effortlessly between garage, techno, footwork, and other forward-thinking club sounds, her taste spans a wide spectrum - balancing groove, tension, and atmosphere. Malina has a knack for building moments that pull the room together.
