Here are highlights of a few of our talented DJs from the evening.
Captivate is a producer and DJ based on the ancestral lands of the Musqueam, Squamish, and Tsleil-Waututh peoples. His sound drifts through the UK rave, Jamaican dub, and ambient continuums, often refracted through the lens of leftfield techno. His DJ sets dissolve genre boundaries, prioritizing pressure, narrative, and rhythmic exploration. He has performed at festivals including Bass Coast and Shambhala Music Festival, and his music has received longstanding support from influences including Om Unit, Doctor Jeep, and Mia Koden.
Mad scientist and producer, LABWRK has been taking Vancouver’s bass scene by storm. A true vibe selecta, bringing original, heavy basslines and melodies that vibrate through the mind and soul. She brings an uplifting energy to the dance floor and a journey through sound.

Sharing Space 🪐🧸
We you want to extend our deepest gratitude to everyone in attendance last weekend. There was a real appreciation for the slower, textured, more patient side of things. We heard from many of you, both during and after, how much you want more nights like this and we’re looking forward to making that happen.
We tried something new with “Dancefloor Recovery”, having @_lewadny offering free massage throughout the night. It added a really grounding, restorative layer to the experience, a place to reset without leaving the room. Grateful to him for holding that space so thoughtfully.
Again, thank you to the artists, staff, and everyone involved. We estimate that the IQ and the dance floor was over 10,000. That’s impressive.

He brings a unique sound that blends the energy of UK rave and leftfield techno with the heavy foundations of Jamaican dub.
There is a natural synergy between his approach and the steppers @yuya61hz will be bringing. While we’re leaning into those heavy sounds for today’s focus, it’s all about creating a blend of different textures on the same frequency.

May 2nd - Support System returns with a night of autonomic and techno-adjacent sounds, welcoming @captivate_____ and @openend__
captivate joins from Vancouver, bringing a sound rooted in UK rave lineage, soundsystem culture, and left-field sensibilities. After a previous appearance at Pull Up, this set leans further into his current direction.
OpenEnd returns to Calgary after years shaping the local scene, now based on the Sunshine Coast. His production draws from drum & bass, now focused through autonomic and techno, with an emphasis on texture, rhythm, and atmosphere.
Traditionally rooted in dubstep, @vyla_140 makes her Support System debut with a techno-leaning set that weaves dubstep’s origins into pulsing, hard groove, dancefloor-focused rhythms.
