We continue our string of high-pressure sessions centered around powerful, driving sound and a tightly held dance-floor. Sharper instincts and a deeper understanding makes the music grow more complex, the space more focused and our room more responsive with each passing night. For this gathering we chose to bring @shakolin , whose roots trace back to Kyiv’s @closer.ua , one of the most respected institutions in underground dance music, where years of digging and curation shaped a distinct approach to playing. Now based in Berlin, his sets move between old and new with precision, always groovy, unpredictable and guided by a deep knowledge of records and a sharp sense of the dance floor. Opening the evening on Friday we have Float Radio, a new musical project we’ve been quietly working on and are very excited to finally share. Bringing together @anaamaier and @superuser____ , the duo finds common ground by a shared approach to sound, one that leans on pacing, restraint, and attention to detail. A pull towards the aquatic sits at the core of this collaboration which finds its way into their music, not necessarily as a theme but as a way of moving. Float Radio is, in a way, a space for that kind of transmission; sounds held lightly, drifting and finding their place without being fixed. This will be the first time the project is presented live, starting at 19:00 sharp, opening for Margaux Gazur. See you at the Unitarian Church this Friday.

It has been a while since our last musical meet and we've missed it more than we can say 🫂 It is with great excitement that we announce our next get-together in a very special setting! 🕯️ The Unitarian Church in the city center to be exact, a beautiful Baroque-style sanctuary built in the 18th century. There’s something unique about hearing music fill a space like this; letting it echo, linger, and take on a life of its own. It only feels right to pair such a venue with something equally special, so we’re inviting an artist we first heard a few years ago and instantly fell in love with. Margaux Gazur (@margauxgazur ) is a French-Vietnamese sound explorer charting memory and environment with the help of music. Using acoustic instruments, everyday objects, and field recordings, she creates richly textured compositions that drift between electronic music, musique concrète, classical, experimental jazz, and more. Opening the evening is a new project that we have been quietly working on: Float Radio, a collaborative duo featuring @anaamaier and @superuser____ , exploring the soft, contemplative contours of their respective musical sensibilities. We are happy to have found it and share it with you. We would also like to announce that Mindfares is now evolving into a record label. Today marks one year since the last (ever?) edition of @wahafestival , where I had the opportunity to play the lovely Aural stage. Even though the rain came just when the first record started playing, it turned out to be one of my favourite moments selecting music, surrounded by friends all huddled together listening to the sound of pouring rain and beautiful songs. Fortunately the whole thing was recorded so I'm glad to have a token from that wonderful time and to be able to share it with anyone who cares to listen. Linked up there.

We were pretty gutted at first but, looking at the bright side of things, Saturday looks to be an even better fit for the carefree kickback we had in mind — weekend will be in full swing, the weather looks just right and we will be rolling smoothly right into the OTG 10 Years showcase with XDB & Onirik, planned at PW from 23:00. Forward-thinking and experimental leaning platform Mindfares is doing a show on the terrace. It's an intimate sit-down affair ran by friends who love the fuck out of music and prioritize mood over everything else. Laid back, no pressure, all feeling. @te_doare is returning to PW for the occasion to set the mood with a few choice records while @aburelius gears up to perform a set comprised of, but not limited to, material from his upcoming vinyl record on the @mindfares imprint, 'Natura EP', set to come out end of August. It's a multi-layered set with live keys, guitars and an assortment of other instrumentations drawing from ambient, trip hop, post rock and the deeper corners of dance music — a heartfelt and reflective trip that should feel right at home washing over the terrace on a warm summer night.
