25 de ani în noul mileniu. Cu bara de loading a secolului umplută pe un sfert, lumea noastră se regăsește în niște timpuri incerte și sumbre. Nu cu mult timp în urmă, lucrurile arătau și se simțeau radical diferit. Credem că e un moment ideal pentru un pic de distanțare sănătoasă față de valorile și perspectivele prezentului și pentru îmbarcarea într-o călătorie distractivo-introspectivă către o zonă din trecutul nostru recent potențial foarte relevantă pentru momentul actual : cultura pop a României începutului anilor 2000. Și așa vă invit către ORACOLUL2000, un proiect multimedia care explorează întrebări precum: • Există o nostalgie analitică, care să nu să se piardă în trecut, dar care să îl mineze pentru a ne actualiza atitudinea asupra prezentului? • Ce anume de atunci merită sărbătorit? • Ce am pierdut, dar și ce am câștigat între timp? vln études [study cycle release] hey guys, here's a drop of 10 electroacustic composition study pieces which I've created during my semester's study in Vilnius at the Lithuanian Academy of Music and Theatre. i never really planned on releasing these until last week, when, as I reopened the examsubmission.zip and started relistening, I had a glimpse of the red sound thread that tied this brief but crucial chapter of my musicmaking together. found an artworkable screenshot of my oh so cosy lovely dorm room there, figured out a smooth track order, tightened some of the tunes up a tiny bit and here we are : it's a release. you ll find : musique concrete, choir pieces, violently deconstructed brex, contemporary classical, Elliane Radigue inspired microtonal droning, 15th century music technique applied to kosmiche-like synth work, hyperrealism ADHD video game microsound collaging etc.. it's the sound of me studying and trying my hand at various compositional styles and techniques, applied music technology research, doing weird homeworks (like having to make a piece that's hard limited to a 200 hz frequency bandwidth) - mostly short experiments, with the exception of the last one which is the longest composition I've ever put out while also being the place where I was starting to feel that a sort of personal tylistic voice in this electroacoustic composition field was taking shape. it's all conceptual and formal explorations, but the album ends with what I feel is one of my most personally heartfelt and deeply introspective musical moments : the last movement of 'bckwards comp ability' which is a tribute to my childhood gaming reveries. (this was my main exam composition btw, I've attached the powerpoint presentation for it in the bandcamp download) releasing this feels like an act of vulnerability as i'm sharing this uncut snapshot of an occasionally bumpy learning experience - it's raw, maybe naive, unpolished but these are also the reasons why it accurately reflects my deepening immersion into this very personally re-enchanting field of electroacoustic composition. out on bandcamp now, will be up on the rest of them soon (except spotify, cus fuck that)

Hi everyone! Due to the stormy clouds forecast for this evening, we've decided to move the Mindfares x PW get together two days forward, on Saturday from 18:00. We were pretty gutted at first but, looking at the bright side of things, Saturday looks to be an even better fit for the carefree kickback we had in mind — weekend will be in full swing, the weather looks just right and we will be rolling smoothly right into the OTG 10 Years showcase with XDB & Onirik, planned at PW from 23:00. Forward-thinking and experimental leaning platform Mindfares is doing a show on the terrace. It's an intimate sit-down affair ran by friends who love the fuck out of music and prioritize mood over everything else. Laid back, no pressure, all feeling. @te_doare is returning to PW for the occasion to set the mood with a few choice records while @aburelius gears up to perform a set comprised of, but not limited to, material from his upcoming vinyl record on the @mindfares imprint, 'Natura EP', set to come out end of August. It's a multi-layered set with live keys, guitars and an assortment of other instrumentations drawing from ambient, trip hop, post rock and the deeper corners of dance music — a heartfelt and reflective trip that should feel right at home washing over the terrace on a warm summer night.
