New work! YesYum — No such thing as boring food with YesYum YesYum started as a scrappy, bootstrapped kimchi brand on the South Coast of NSW. Together, we built a brand from the ground up that put fun and flavour front and centre.  From strategy to packaging to a vibrant new website, we carved out a space in the market that’s proudly loud, proudly tasty, and impossible to ignore. YesYum is your not-so-secret ingredient to level up your cooking. Photographer: Alana Dimou See the full case on our website, link in bio

Happy #moodboardmonday 🪄🖼️ Today we have a visual direction for a local hospitality business that wanted to sharpen up their image and put as much love into their brand as they do into their damn delish pizza 🍕🍕 The perfect balance of bold and pared back with pops of personality, this moodboard gets us excited 🤠 a strong focus on typography, you can’t go wrong! Are moodboards pretty? Absolutely! Do they kick off the super exciting visual phase? You bet! But would they be anything without the strategy groundwork that comes before them? Hell no! 🧠♟️

Well this is embarrassing, it’s almost the end of June, but the year is going so fast it’s taking us a bit to keep up! Here's a collection of odd bits and bobs that have been keeping us entertained here at Superodd in April and May. 👄 Being in a different country means new tastes and products to explore! We stumbled upon these soft drinks from @kolonihagen , and they totally grabbed our attention. The cans look super slick, the range of flavours is amazing, and they taste just as good as they look. Kris’ fave? The Lemonade. Madi is all about the Rhubarb! 📺 Our watchlist highlight was @stripehq Sessions 2024! We dived deep into the future of tech and e-commerce. Buzzing with ideas, we’re now even more pumped to push the envelope on our next digital projects. 🎧 We’ve raved about this genius piece of content and brand experience to many before, but now it was a necessity turned enjoyment — using @barilla playlists to perfectly time our al dente pasta was just the start. We found ourselves genuinely jamming to the tunes, especially the Boom Bap Fusilli tracks. Who knew boiling pasta could lead to playlist perfection? 📚 We delved into @deloitte ’s eye-opening report on how shaving off milliseconds from mobile web performance can massively boost both user satisfaction and, more importantlyyy, your bottom line. For us, it reaffirmed the critical link between tech finesse and business success. We're doubling down on optimising every detail from pixels to protocols in our projects! 💭 This one is a direct translation from Norwegian (Dørstokkmila er alltid lengst), but rings true no matter what language you speak. Getting your ass up off the couch and out the door is hard, but once you’ve turned the key in the lock and picked up momentum, it gets easier and easier. Here’s to overcoming that initial hurdle/mile and sailing smoothly onwards! We're curious — what were you reading, watching, listening to, consuming, and thinking about in the past two months? Drop your Odd Things in the comments below ✨ so we can have even more to binge, obsess over, and inspire.

Superodd is in Norway 🇳🇴 Being a small studio (and being our own bosses 💅🏼) gives us the freedom to work from wherever we want! At the moment we are working from a remote cabin in the mountains in Norway. We are chasing summer, solar powered, overlooking a breathtaking view, and feeling superrrr inspired. We are, of course(!), continuing to work with our freaking amazing clients in Aus, but also have some exciting projects on the horizon here in Europe too (hello Amsterdam and @studio_ink_work , we’ll see you soon for a visit!). Currently, the sun is up for 17 hours a day (loving it) so we have a lot of time to work on fun things ☀️ reach out if you're keen to join in on the fun!

Introducing our newest series: "Odd Things — A Monthly Digest" Each month, we'll take you behind the scenes at Superodd to share the things that have been tickling our brains and stirring our souls. Here's the scoop from March! 📚 Our beloved "How to Have Kick-Ass Ideas" by @chris_barezbrown ? Yeah, that wasn't just a March fling, but a past love re-ignited. It's the old reliable on our shelf, our secret sauce for when our brains need that zesty kick. Perfect for those moments when you feel more like a 'no ideas' zone than a think tank. 👄 Picture this: a design and development studio walks into @the_happyapple greengrocer. Spots @hugtub oat milk ice cream. It's love at first sight. The packaging? Chef's kiss. It's proof that, yes, you can absolutely judge a book (or, in this case, ice cream) by its cover. The taste? Even better than the design promised, making it a double win for us as we love when the outside is a good representation of the inside! 🎧 @thediaryofaceopodcast has been our go-to the past month. A masterclass in life, business, and the art of being human. Every episode is a feast of insights, and we're over here savouring every flavourful crumb. 📺 Diving into Skam wasn't just about prepping for our upcoming stint in Norway; it was about reconnecting with a Norwegian "classic." And by classic, we mean a revolutionary 2015 series that changed the game with its use of social media and real-time storytelling. It's a masterpiece that's been mimicked from the US to France and Belgium, but nothing beats the original — a cultural deep dive that's beautifully honest and raw. Would reallyyyy recommend! 💭 Pondering on "Old ways won't open new doors." This mantra has been ringing in our ears, pushing us to ditch the comfort zone for some real, tangible magic. It's about embracing the new, the odd, and the wonderfully unfamiliar. New paths, new ideas, new heights — that's the March vibe. We're curious — what were you reading, watching, listening to, consuming, and thinking about in March? Drop your Odd Things in the comments below ✨ so we can have even more to binge, obsess over and inspire.
