Meet Emmy, curator of Deeper Experience and the visionary behind Sun & Snaps, a nature-based creative and wellness platform dedicated to healing, embodiment, and cultural connection.
As a multidisciplinary creative, storyteller, and wellness curator, Emmy brings together somatic practices, sensory activation, ancestral awareness, and community-centered healing into immersive experiences designed to support emotional release and spiritual integration.
Her work is deeply informed by her lived experiences, Haitian heritage, and commitment to integrated holistic wellness. With a background in visual storytelling and experiential design, she creates intentional spaces where participants can reconnect with their bodies, process what they’ve been carrying, and feel supported in their growth.
Deeper Experience was born from Emmy’s belief that healing should be accessible, culturally grounded, and experienced in community - not in silence or isolation.

My name is Emmy Etienne and I am an experiential artist based in Miami who creates workshops, healing gatherings, and immersive experiences for people ready to show up for themselves. My work lives at the intersection of photography, storytelling, nature, and ancestral wellness.
Through Sun & Snaps I document the sacred and with EVM Production the cinematic for organizations and small businesses. With Modern Day Ancient Shop I bottle botanical fragrances and ritual objects grounded in ancient wisdom for modern life.
Everything I create moves through a holistic lens. Wellness is not the afterthought. It is the foundation.
If you are here for healing, creativity, growth, and the kind of experiences that stay with you long after you leave — you are in the right place.
Follow this page. Get to know the work. And let’s talk about what we can create together.
*this is a practice for me of letting go bc this app’s editing and quality capabilities have diminished and it’s almost sending me 🫠please excuse the glitches in the cuts, IG has some work to do.
The first Sun and Snaps workshop was such a phenomenal success! These images are 🔥 and the students showed up and showed out! They learned techniques and skills to capture the best photograph. They brought such a vibrant and calming energy to the work and really delved into creating and capturing magic. Just you wait til we drop the edit 🥰
Showcasing Sun and Snaps at Art Basel Miami. Come through to see and feel the magic in person. More details soon to come.

Though her face is partially unseen, you feel her completely.
She moved and the wind moved with her. She brought her full self. The rest showed up on its own.
New Light is about learning to be present for the moments that can’t be staged, planned, or manufactured. The ones that arrive when you create the conditions for something real.
Red like flame. Black depth. Green that grows when something burns away.

New Light a series by @sun.n.snaps
We played with various sources of light, the sun, fire and mobile LED. Perspectives shifted for clarity and enlightenment.
Playing with new edits and techniques this season.

I gotta say I absolutely love working with women. The energy is always kinetic, transformative and undoubtedly inspiring. Love just oozes from our being and when the space is safe and inviting, wonderful things happen.
As @leah_nadia_sol danced in the forest two snakes found their way to their kindred spirit. Leah flowed into the space with such ease, they came in hot in two locations. All the years I’ve been going to that park, I never saw a snake before. Talk about magic!

Releasing the need to follow a plan or schedule, I listened to my intuition and held space. That’s what Sun & Snaps was created to do. To be a container for you to feel safe in being seen and heard. You get to witness and experience a full range of emotions and feelings.
It was the perfect path to a new light, which was this session’s title theme. We shed, released, let the waters flow, exhaled and danced into a new light.
You are loved, you are held, you are supported.

New Light: Sun & Snaps natural light photography this Saturday, May 9th at 10am.
A gentle wandering into portals of the forest. Let’s create some beautiful art together. Have your portraits captured in a magical landscape. Details in bio.
Give thanks to @naturaltrendsetters for hosting this event for those working in the beauty and wellness industry. Often it is thought that the sector is superficial but working with hair, clothing, even in corporate with different personalities and people is an act of service that is energetic. Anytime you are interacting with people on any capacity, energy is being exchanged.
@simonesetstrends invited Human Resource Director and author Lisa DeRoche and trauma-informed breathwork practitioner @somatic_panda to her salon for an afternoon of release and elevation. The response after the session was of wonder, joy and gratitude. I’m so glad I decided to attend and participate.
There are things you don’t plan. You just answer.
I didn’t set out to create Deeper Experience. I set out to teach photography — to help people see the world differently [through the lens]. But something happened after my first Sun & Snaps workshop that I couldn’t ignore. The session closed. Some of the women stayed. And what unfolded became something sacred. Something that wasn’t mine to contain — only to carry forward.
That moment called me deeper. Into myself. Into purpose. Into the question of what would it look like to create a space where people could truly land? The answer came the way all real things do — slowly, through relationship, through years of genuine community.
I met Corey at my third Sun & Snaps workshop. He walked in as a participant. It wasn’t until later that I learned the depth of the healing work he carried — the way breathwork in his hands becomes a conversation between body and spirit. Dakota I met years before in Palm Beach. One yoga class. One morning. His presence was so settled, so calm, that I felt it before I understood it. That same quality lives in his sound healing.
I have known Vanesa for a few years — in community together, I have personally experienced her Forest Bath events, witnessed her wisdom, her spirituality, and her enormous love. She is someone who makes nature feel like it was always waiting for you. Through her, I reconnected with Shae. Some relationships are dormant until the moment they are needed. Hers was one of those. Every single person in this circle came through genuine relationship.
We don’t just facilitate this work. We live it. We have each walked our own path of healing, of expansion, of returning to ourselves — and we have chosen to make that path available to others.
I want you to know, you don’t have to have it figured out to walk through the door. You don’t have to be deep into your healing journey or speak the language or know what somatic means or have ever done breathwork before. You just have to be ready — even a little — to be seen. To be held. To exhale.
