Drawing on the embodied and intersectional ethos of the seminal feminist anthology This Bridge Called My Back, this exhibition frames the creative process as another exercise of bridge-building. Through the lens of individual experience, these six artists translate universal concerns into a body of work that connects diverse and perpetually negotiated territories.

Funny enough, I never thought I’d actually end up visiting these dye pits when I first started working with indigo last year. Even though it was a rushed visit, I’m really glad I got to see them.
I became you, so I lost myself—a project for my @miskartinst x @monolisboa residency.
This work explores the emotional weight of cultural assimilation and the grief of what has been left behind by African families in the Arab region.
