For years, I searched for a space that felt like home—a place where I could create freely, where my ideas weren’t questioned but embraced. I moved from Friesland to Amsterdam to give myself the room to grow. I worked hard, found my spot, built the table and filled the seats with people I believe in.

Between heaven and hell lies grace, a balance of light and dark. Without darkness, light loses its meaning. I’ve known both. I’ve felt the weight of rejection, the struggle of carving out a place in an industry that often overlooks those who don’t fit the mold. But I refused to be swallowed by the dark. Instead, I rose—reborn from the ashes, carrying every lesson forward. Through the chaos, I carved out clarity. I realized that strength isn’t about never falling; it’s about rising every time, turning darkness into fuel, into something tangible—a home.
Studio Overlab is that home. It’s built on resilience, on breaking barriers, on showing up as your truest self—fragile yet strong, vulnerable yet fearless. Here, we all step into our own light with undenying support. We blur the line between commercial and personal, between structure and emotion.
