The people’s eyes, the bazaar’s sounds, the women’s hair, the saffron scent, the youngs’ laughters, the parks’ cats, the spice piles, the cold doogh, the morning halva, the evening jasmine, the rose petals, the sour pistachios, the traffic hum, the pomegranate juice, the calligraphy swirls, the rice crust, the old men’s poetry, the tiny pastries, the warm lavash, the sumac on kebab, the tahdig barberries, the park chess games, the airport flowers, the mountain backdrop, the warmth of the family, Mamani🩶 Iran. Until we’re back and forever.

25.11.25 @ 508 already one month & forever in our hearts ❤️‍🔥 still can’t get over how special that night was. Three years ago, we biked 40 mins into nowhere for a mysterious party Adrien found and stumbled upon this DIY paradise built by Karina & Pim in their construction atelier during Covid so friends could keep dancing. @_studio_508_ , the most unique spot, like a time capsule from the 90s, infused with pure love, freedom and top notch sound. Not a public club, but the best club in town for close friends. Love at first sight. In parallel of that, we had been following @soundmetaphors for years from Berlin to Croatia, and when they happened to play in Amsterdam last year, we told Nemo about this hidden gem - Studio 508 - and offered them to play there. He had no idea who we were, but from the first chat, it felt like we’d known each other forever. He said let’s do it and fast forward exactly a year later - with his incredible trust - there we were, dancing under that same gigantic disco ball but with the lineup of ours dreams, that we had booked ourselves. The idea was to do something different, simpler, the opposite of commercial. Something that felt homy and warm in the craze of ADE. So much love was poured in every detail. A project led with old friends @mathilde.courtot @aggidee @adriengalibert and new ones @_la_hembra_ @_om314_ @nemo_sound_metaphors . My favorite project yet ❤️ The videos don’t do justice to the energy but they deserve their place here. The last slide is for Pim&Karina, the biggest hearts, my “yes-everything-is-possible” people. So excited for our next plans together. Infinite merci to them and to @nemo_sound_metaphors @tornadowallace @dj_subaru @robzilla3000 @rrrrrroeldeboerrrrrr @castro_sound_metaphors @gerryzulchairy @fieldnotes.intl @mathilde.courtot @powertools.studio @eynsevn @korantinnnn @pinchudo_mezcal @sokolvodka for following us in this, thanks for @resident_advisor to RA pick our non-ADE tiny event among 1000 others on a ADE Saturday 🥹 thanks for some of the DJs to maybe bypassing agents to play for us (such incredible music all night) and as Castro so wisely said - long live 508.

Tehran bombed. This one hits hard. My second country under fire. Last week I cooked my first tahdig ever (first picture). The most wonderful dish to me. The one my grandmother would make almost every day during the summers she spent with us in France. The dish my dad makes every single time I come home. The most precious heritage. Somehow, a week ago, I finally felt ready to make “mine” for the first time. A week later, the news. Since then: completely stunned, numb. What to share, where to start? How to share this kind of rage? It’s hard to explain the constant complexity that comes with having Middle Eastern heritage (and the Jewish roots on the other side don’t help in this context). I used to go every other year to visit my family in Iran. But we haven’t been back in years - not by choice, but because of politics. I miss my family. I miss the warmth, the food, the poetry woven into everyday life. I miss hearing Farsi. I was excited to finally go back soon. People know so little about Iran. But those who’ve been know. They know the beauty, the generosity, the strength of its people. Their dreams and their resilience. Iran is not its corrupted, extremist government. A government the people never chose. It’s a nation full of people caught, again, in the middle of a fight they didn’t start. Yes, Iran needs political change. But it won’t come from deranged, violence-fetishist racists like Trump or Netanyahu. They’re not liberators, they’re just instigators of chaos - with media lies spinning the flames. The world sees headlines. I see loved ones. Memories. It’s not just painful, it’s infuriating. To watch a place you love become a battleground for egos, war machines and myths of control. This isn’t a call for sympathy. It’s an attempt to challenge the wrong mainstream narrative. To try to make sense of a world that keeps refusing to. It’s also a way to give existence to what’s happening, a voice to millions of silenced voices. An homage to my (large!) wonderful family there, to these memories from my trips to this incredible country which is Iran. Hoping and praying they all stay out of this 🤍🕊️

Executive decision with myself that this swirl drawn by a stranger, the cheminée from home, our best investment so far, my dad picking shells and this heavenly pot-au-feu deserve their place on the feed. Et le petit bonus de mon père qui demande à ma mère (« babie ») de lui faire tourner la moutarde. 🌀💓

The best encounters of the eolians with one reaaally emotional crush 🧡🐈🧡 we came a couple of times to this beach and each time spent an hour with red cat Luigi (a name we gave him) between us. Totally sobbed on the last day (last slide lol) after Adri said ‘it’s a sign we should maybe bring him home’ but it was obvious he belonged there and was too happy to be relocated 😭 island people take such good care of them 💞 the plan is to go back every 2 years to see Luigi boy. (yes we’re two very extreme cat lovers)

Infusing the last days of summer with a burst of warmth 💛 Finding the words has been hard @loveintfestival . You are the escape where everything is perfection. The images speak a thousand words - suspended moments, a thousand paradises. Among countless unforgettable moments, thank you @soundmetaphors for literally blowing my heart, thank you @felixdickinson for delivering pure art, thank you @alex__kassian for the island dream, thank you @lakuti_ for the orgasm, thank you @test_pressing_official for the most exquisite hours that we wish could last forever, thank you @adriengalibert for the masterful curation. These past days, Danielle Moore’s words “If you have the capacity of love, Love!” resonate more than ever with the experience (may you forever rest in your awesome power, queen D🌹 @ladydrivermoore ) Love International is a space where every day is lived as if there were no tomorrow, and it’s an immense privilege to be able to celebrate life this way. As if that wasn’t enough, being so aligned on human and political values with the organizers (@dave_harvey_teamlove @chezdemilo @elliestokesdj & team ❤️) and the artists makes the whole thing even more meaningful. Damn, Tisno you’re so special.
