Hello 👋🏼 a few new faces here, so I thought I’d give you a few bits about me, Georgia @georgdun the face behind @studiogeorg x
1. Our family consists of me, my husband, our son and our two dogs, Mable and Wally. They share the same birth dad, and yet are SO different. Siblings hey! 🦮🐕🦺
2. I HATE sand. So much so I prefer not to go to the beach. I love warm weather and places (gimmie a pool any day!) more than happy to jump off a boat or rock into the ocean for a swim mind you 🛥️ 🏝️
3. My mum passed away from cancer when I was 12 and my cousin and her family took me under their wing, something I am forever grateful for 🫶🏼
4. I was born in Adelaide and did my later childhood in Hobart; then had a year in the UK and few years in Perth, but am now based in Melbourne. Where to next? 📍
5. Chardonnay is my drink of choice however a margarita doesn’t go astray. I also love champagne and fun fact, our current home is an old champagne factory (a peak of it pictured here!) 🥂 Otherwise it’s a Diet Coke - so shoot me 🥤
6. Is my lucky number 6️⃣ and my birth day (yes I’m a birthday queen - it’s the 6th of September if you were wondering, I’m a Virgo!) ♍️
7. Traveling is my favourite pastime. And looking at real estate ✈️ 🏡
8. I have a chronic illness - I’m a type one diabetic. And no Karen, it’s not because of my lifestyle, it’s an autoimmune disease 💉🩸
9. I have two undergraduate degrees and despite using bits and pieces from both, do not officially use either! 👩🎓
10. In another life I will be a radio host. (This is me manifesting to the universe 🔮📻🎤)

Just popping in with a cheeky little life update! While styling will always have my heart ❣️ I’ve recently stepped into an exciting new office role with a fab company—feeling very grateful and lucky!
For now, I’m taking a pause on styling jobs—but that may change down the track, so feel free to reach out if you’ve got a fun project in the works 🌿

The letters! I ‘took inspiration’ from a large range of creatives and artists (I had similar letters in my room as a kid, bought at the markets in Port Douglas, so definitely been around for a long while - while not showing my age…!) a bit of a labour of love; I am creative but not crafty 🎨
🩷 I used 2 packets of air dry clay
❤️ Played with it till they resembled some sort of letter (really went back to my ceramics high school days!) they don’t have to be perfect by the way
🤍 Let air dry for a fair while
🩷 Painted with what ever paint we had around the house (acrylic mostly, but the pink is wall paint)

🤍 Painted with Mod Podge (thanks @amy for the tip!) this is if you want a shiny finish
🩷 I popped holes in them to hang but ended up using 3m strips and some guerrilla tape to stick them to the wall (after the As were particularly stubborn!)

Homes are forever changing, but I’m really loving where Matilda’s room is at right now ❤️ and how is the cot upgrade @bold_baby_co !!! Just a new rug and some window furnishings to go, and we’ll call it done… for now! 🩷❤️

I just got the photos back from Matilda’s nursery, so I can finally start sharing some of the fun behind-the-scenes from the whole idea 💡✨
A few months ago, I mentioned we were finally tackling Matilda’s nursery. The epic team at @bold_baby_co reached out and together we came up with a clever plan for a new cot to suit the space perfectly. Pink and red was the flavour of the day… and off we went! 🩷❤️
Jack and I (mostly Jack, with a little help from @victoria_devine ) hand-painted every single stripe on the walls before getting stuck into building the cot — which might have been the easiest part of the entire project (thank you Bold Baby for being soooo user friendly!) 😅
