Welcome everyone! Because of a huge increase in followers I figured it would be good to reintroduce myself. I am Coen, a furniture designer from the Netherlands. My way of working is rooted in a dual foundation: traditional woodworking and a background in engineering. This combination informs a design methodology that is both analytical and tactile. Each project I approach as a system where proportion, joinery, and material behavior are resolved with precision, resulting in objects that are as rational as they are expressive. At Studio Beeks, I work independently on my own designs, crafting each piece by hand in my workshop. This intimate scale of production allows me to maintain absolute control over quality while ensuring that every piece carries the personal touch and meticulous attention that defines true craftsmanship. The result is furniture that serves not merely as functional objects, but as enduring testament to the marriage of technical mastery and artistic vision. 𝗧𝗲𝗰𝗵𝗻𝗼 is a furniture collection where uncompromising craftsmanship and rugged elegance converge into architectural design. Laminated solid oak elements create a highly stable, durable structure maintaining integrity over time. The deliberately exposed joinery clearly expresses the build. Rounded edges soften the robust frame, creating a sophisticated balance between strength and refinement. The design principles (highly symmetrical, nine centimeters thick, all rounded) change how Studio Beeks designs furniture. Rather than restricting, the material and dimensioning become almost modular like blocks used in different setups for various furniture types.
