Built to Bloom 💐✊🏾 We kicked off the Spring season at #studiobe celebrating what happens when emerging artists are given tools, language, and support to imagine sustainable futures for their creativity. Through the S.E.E.D (Student Entrepreneurship and Enterprise Development) Fellowship, students from across greater new orleans spent the 2025–2026 academic year collaborating with @eternalseeds artists to explore entrepreneurship, business strategy, marketing, finance, design thinking, and creative enterprise. Thank you to every artist, fellow, partner, mentor, family member, and community supporter who poured into this experience and showed up with such love and intention. We’re excited to announce our 2026 Summer Session application is now live! The Summer Session Arts Intensive exposes New Orleans youth ages 14 - 18 to the power of art through mural arts and digital media production. The Summer Session works to prioritize community revitalization by empowering the students to speak on important issues facing them through their art. Over an 8-week Summer Arts Intensive, students are guided by professional artists who serve as instructors to mentor the fundamental skills of media arts and mural making. If you know any youth between the ages 14-18 that is interested in mural and media arts, please submit an application via our google form by May 22nd. Here to share portraits of New York Times bestselling poet, author, and activist @cleowade Around April 2025, I had the opportunity to photograph Cleo in collaboration with @eternalseeds for the “Eternal Flowers” project for @jazzfest If you don’t know her by face, you’ve likely felt her through her words. Cleo has a way of meeting people where they are—offering language that holds love, hope, reflection, and resilience all at once. If you ever find yourself in need of inspiration, I highly recommend spending time with her work. We thank you. Our spirits thank you for loving on us through your art. “You want love, be love. You want light, be light.” A simple reminder, but one that calls for intention in how we move, speak, and show up for each other. Eternal Seeds continues to remind us of the importance of pouring into our youth and community. Grateful to share space with you all. For years, he’s held rhythm, held space, and carried forward traditions rooted deep in this city’s spirit. During @jazzfest 2025, we introduced a new @eternalseeds tradition, “Eternal Flowers,” our way of honoring New Orleans giants who continue to pour back into the city that raised them. One of last year’s honorees was the incomparable Mama Vera Warren-Williams , the creator of Community Book Center (@readcbc ). Mama Vera is a living pillar of culture, literacy, and community whose impact continues to shape generations in New Orleans and we are honored to celebrate her every day. Over the next few days, we’’ll be revisiting our 2025 flowers with exciting anticipation as we prepare to announce our 2026 honorees. Stay tuned. A cartoonist and painter, Esperanza “PAN” Alvarez (@deijxn ) creates large-scale, vibrant illustrations that challenge the idea that cartoons are not just for kids. PAN’s work is rooted in the belief that creativity should be unbound and accessible to people of all ages. 🧡💥🖊️ Her multidisciplinary practice spans digital illustration, murals, and large-scale acrylic paintings. We’re excited to introduce PAN as a featured artist in our inaugural #BuiltToBloom cohort, where through the SEED (Student Entrepreneurship & Enterprise Development) Fellowship she has taken major steps in building her creative business. During this fellowship, PAN established her LLC for PAN STUDIOS, launched her website , and is currently developing a soon-to-launch print club / pen pal program rooted in connection and creative exchange.
