It is with deep disappointment that we have learned of the Bergen City Council’s plans to withdraw funding from Piksel Festival, effective from next year. Piksel has been a pioneer of digital art and technological experimentation in Bergen for over two decades, contributing significantly to both the local and international cultural landscape. “Silent Vegetal Thoughts” is open today! Come and experience how plants communicate! 🌿✨ Featuring 12 sensors, 21 actuators, a garden with 35 plants, and an IoT system with individually addressed LED bulbs, this interconnected system allows plants to take control of the lighting in the studio! The plants are highly sensitive to your interaction, communicating through electrical impulses and vibrations to adjust the lights. 💡🌱 Drop by and experience for your self what mood the plants adjust the lighting to. We are excited to start the second round of Piksel Fest Spill activities, this time focused on Live Coding. Live coding (sometimes referred to as 'on-the-fly programming', 'just-in-time programming', and 'conversational programming') is a performing arts form and a creative technique centered on writing source code and using interactive programming in an improvised way.
