Rigby On The Run is a Vienna-based project shaped by the legacy of UK electronic music. From an early age, Rigby was captivated by the propulsive energy of drum & bass — especially the work of Hospital Records pioneer Logistics — and soon found fascination in everything that branched out from it: breakbeat, garage, and the modern, genre-blurring mutations of today.
Rigby’s productions are guided by contrasts: propulsive yet fragile, raw yet atmospheric, rooted in the rave but lifted by dreamlike textures. The music is designed for collective release on the dancefloor, while still holding a sense of intimacy and introspection. Echoing the explorations of artists like Overmono, Four Tet, and Floating Points, Rigby On The Run searches for that balance between rhythm and resonance.
In 2025, Rigby released the EP Rug Rally on Vienna’s forward-looking label Studio Bahöö. Across seven tracks and 22 minutes, the record weaves together UK garage grooves, breakbeats, and experimental soundsystem elements, marked by a raw yet atmospheric energy. Rug Rally captures Rigby’s vision of rave music: urgent and restless, but always tinged with dreamlike beauty.
Whether producing in the studio or performing at outdoor raves, Rigby approaches music as a space for connection, creating moments where listeners can move, reflect, and lose themselves in the sound.
