Happy Chartreuse Day to all who celebrate. 💚💛 Last month, I had the incredible opportunity to travel to Voiron and visit the Chartreuse distillery and monastery—an experience that still honestly feels a little surreal. For someone who has spent so many years admiring the history, mystery, and craftsmanship behind Chartreuse, getting to stand in the place where it all comes from was incredibly special. The trip was filled with unforgettable moments alongside some truly wonderful hospitality professionals from across the country. We spent our days diving deep into the world of Chartreuse: tasting rare and exclusive bottlings, sharing incredible meals, drinking beautiful wine, and exploring the Chartreuse mountains. But more than anything, it was the people that made the experience so meaningful; I came home feeling deeply inspired and grateful. A huge thank you to @matt_lofink , @quentinchartreuse , and the entire @chartreuse_diffusion team for the warmth, generosity, and hospitality throughout the trip. The ✨ Whippersnapper 🫛 has arrived, and she is everything a spring cocktail should be: bright, fresh, and just a little bit dramatic. It’s no secret that I live for the vernal equinox, specifically for that fleeting window where peas actually taste like the earth they came from. This year, the annual tribute has evolved into a clarified milk punch—an Ode to Spring that captures the season’s essence in a deceptively clear, sophisticated way. The build layers the smoke of Mezcal and the citrus backbone of Cointreau with the verdant snap of fresh peas, chervil, and fennel. 💨🍊🫛 I’ve leaned heavily into Meyer lemons for this one, using the peels to make a rich oleo and the juice to spark the clarification. To keep things interesting, I opted for sheep yogurt 🐑 instead of standard milk in the clarification process for an impossibly velvety, slightly tangy mouthfeel that still feels remarkably fresh. But wait, there’s more! I also hit it with some brined green peppercorn brine because why not?! 🤩 Gimme all that green, spicy tang! It’s young, it’s snappy, and it’s delicious! This is a small-batch labor of love, which means it is as fleeting as the season itself. Still trying to wrap my head around this one… I officially made the Top 100 for Diageo World Class 2026! 🤯 To be listed alongside so many bartenders I look up to in this industry is completely surreal. A massive thank you goes out to the @ladyjanedenver team and @walks_with_spirits who constantly encouraged me and cheered me on through the cocktail development and submission processes. Y’all are the absolute best. Now we play the waiting game! My cocktails for the next round are already submitted and judging is officially underway.
