La trajectoire est limpide pour STREIKTHROUGH, le projet cathartique de la productrice Chewlie et du poète Ulaş Ekim Toprak. D’abord adoubé sur YUKU - l’un des meilleurs labels bass music du moment - le duo confirme et pousse le curseur plus loin avec son premier album Limbcity LP sur le label parisien De la... je l’espère. Leur fusion unique de spoken word viscéral et de productions bass music trempée dans l’acier, où la poésie politique se fracasse sur des infrabasses abyssales, trouve ici un écrin parfait pour déployer toute sa puissance narrative. L’œuvre est complétée par deux remixes qui atterrissent tout droit dans nos playlists : d’un côté, l’impact frontal et la pression physique de la version de Comm, de l’autre, la finesse d’un groove UK techno hypnotique signé Maude Vôs. To further present Limbcity, STREIKTHROUGH’s first album, we wanted to develop on the duo’s meaning : STREIKTHROUGH is a collaborative sound and performance project by producer and DJ Chewlie and poet Ulaş Ekim Toprak, both based in Switzerland. Driven by a shared desire to blend bass-heavy, ethereal electronic music with thought-provoking poetry, the project transforms contemporary political phenomena into a sonic experience. “Limbcity” is available now to Pre-Order via our Bandcamp, “hands empty” and “you was a free bird” are already available.
