Grandma stove
Inner parts from the chicken in bowls
The mad black man the township was never my home
It’s standard for most me I’m like Moses I’m in motion
Part the waters with my words what is the sea to an ocean?
Time to atone
What is your name?
Your people unknown
The cock crowed 3 times and you denied all your own?!
Ceasar in Rome
Caine le Abela behold
Man always kills man when there is dominion and gold
It’s war zones you might shot out of that uber it go
I’m in the black we in Paris off this cinema nouveau
Hardest I know
Easy is the way
But…
Hard is the road
Hardest rapper out the township Magleeezy and Pro
Really seen dope
The dividence determined the dose
When we ain’t had the toothpaste we brushed our teeth with the soap
Moet’easy mimosa
Makheba over Maryln Monroe
This treason is old
These Geezers sold for Visas and Robes
Oligarchs and monarchs sold us the dream it was wrote
Removed the book of Jubilees Ethiopians we rose
From the soil and built these sand castles Mesamo was the tabernacle
These flows flow from an artesian moat

@bongibops and I would like to extend our sincerest condolences to Thandiwe, Natasha and the whole McCloy Family. May the Almighty grant you comfort, peace, and strength during this difficult time.
Our beloved @mariamccloy was a dear friend, colleague, fierce cultural critic, pioneering entrepreneur, and devoted patron of the arts. She shaped us, challenged us, called us to order and really protected us. There is a sharp, poignant irony that while people on podcasts today fiercely debate who “owns” or “carries” our cultural stories, a true journalist and custodian like Maria who actually did the heavy lifting with integrity departs.
Her passing is a stark reminder of the fragility of time and the flesh. For us it underscores a deeper urgency, the mission for God’s kingdom requires our immediate focus and action. We must carry forward the torch of truth and purpose with the same vigor Maria brought to her life’s work.
Her legacy is etched into our hearts, and she will never be forgotten.
R.I..P Maria McCloy
So much of life is chaos, violent winds, crashing waves, fading stars, disappearing daylight. And in the middle of the storm, God gave our family a lighthouse.
“Strength and dignity are her clothing, and she laughs at the time to come.”
Today we honor you, for who you are. Your price is far above rubies. MY FOREVER.
This one’s been brewing for a long time.
I’m proud to announce my role as the lead featured artist for the inaugural EP from @nakedapeofficial House of Music
a new creative platform launched in partnership with @wewantmore.world .
The synergy here is deep. @nakedapeofficial dressed me for the Metro FM Music Awards and for years they have told African stories through fabric.
Now, those stories have a soundtrack.
I’m honored to lend my voice to this first chapter, a body of work inspired by the Africa Unite/d: The 48 Collection and the historic expansion of the global game.
Musical Direction: @apiwebubu
Vision & Strategy: @shaldonkopman
Recorded with intention. Built to travel.
The flagship single arrives ahead of the tournament, with the full EP to follow. When fashion and sound share the same DNA, the result hits different.

Stogie T, formerly of Tumi and the Volume, is a definitive voice in South African hip-hop. As a Motif Records executive, he launched icons like Riky Rick, Reason, and Zaki Ibrahim. As a cultural architect, he created influential properties like BarFest and Freestyle Friday. From the poetic depth of the album Anomy to the sharp lyricism of Shallow, Stogie T continues to shape the continent’s music landscape through fearless storytelling

My wife doesn’t like it when I say I am a rapper. She imagines the term to be reductive. In her mind, I am more than a rapper, I am a musician, a writer, a thinker, a pastor, a father, a leader. But here is the kicker man. I have been unsuccessfully trying to tell her and everyone that cares to listen that ‘rapper’ means all of that.
Moving Picture Frames was originally written for Tumi And The Volume, it was our response to being called political rap. Didn’t care for that title, so I wrote a song about a middle class black housewife in a South African suburb. There’s your politics 😂
I have the best band in the world. In the time it takes to smoke a cigar they tell the story of not just my musical life, but theirs and South Africa’s. I really be on that collab time, wait til I put you on to God’s vision of unity and oneness. For another time. 🤞🏾

This moment stands as gratitude before it stands as achievement.
If the song has reached far, if it has stirred hearts and sharpened minds, that reach reflects the mercy and the glory of the One who formed us, gifted us, and sustained us.
We receive this without ego, without self-exaltation. Excellence remains the posture of the believer, humility the ground we stand on. Any success here points upward, never inward.
To those in the shadows, carrying God-given talent quietly and faithfully: may this be refuge and signal. Your voice matters. Your gift has purpose. Share it freely with mankind, that it may serve, heal, and illuminate.
All glory belongs to the Kingdom.
