Side Plan study group focuses on the reading of revolutionary texts that we believe are significant to read, as a way to empower anticolonial, anticapitalist, and anti-imperialist resistance practices and to cultivate historical knowledge. Via Side Plan, we hope to create a community based on solidarity, research, and alternative knowledge production.

Stoa42 presents the exhibition THE KIOSK and invites artists @sofiakouloukouri@kosmas_nikolaou_@sam3.es@elenademetria #tianedoannachampassak to create their own newspaper. The artists are invited to create newspapers by commenting, illustrating and visualizing the events/experiences that they themselves perceive as most important and worthy of comment, offering a different, subversive look at the way we are told the daily news and how we understand the world around us.

A research project by Kosmas Nikolaou on the economy.
Can contemporary art bloom and artists survive under today’s financial pressures and high cost of living?
How do recent tax changes affect artists?
How restrictive is the financial reality of their profession, and how easy is it for them to find space to create, present, and promote their work?
And finally—what is the true availability of space, energy, and creative potential in the city?
Artists and art professionals come together to create a fictional, short-term company that offers services to the public. This model supports the participants by forming a system of solidarity and mutual aid, designed to counteract irrational taxation. All legal accounting procedures are followed. Just a few days before the deadline for filing the tax declaration, we invite you for an aperitivo at the Dream Bar where we will present an economic solution for survival and relief.
In the virtual company, services are provided by the following individuals, listed in alphabetical order: @danai_giannoglou@ioanna.gerakidi@spyrosgoudelis@fanis.kaff@byron.kalomamas@stavros_kastrinakis@not_ruri@sofiakouloukouri@kosmasnikolaou_onthemezzanine@louiza.orlof@eleanna_papathanasiadi@chripetko@charastergiou@kelleia_la@olympiatzortzi
« Some strings » finally in Athens… February 26th - 7 PM @stoa42 in solidarity with the Palestinian cause.
χαίρομαι πολύ που θα παρουσιάσουν τελικά “Some strings” στην Αθήνα σε αλληλεγγύη στον παλαιστινιακό αγώνα. Τι 26 Φλεβάρη στις 7 - @stoa42
We are waiting for you on Wednesday 26 February 2025, at Stoa 42, Athens (entrance Charilaou Trikoupi 4). For our event "Over the wall, beyond the sea"
🎬 19h: Screening: Some Strings
“Each memory that is freed is the first step for all memories to gather”.
Edouard Glissant
Filmmakers and artists from around the world have formed “Some strings”, an ensemble of unreleased filmic gestures that is rooted in Palestine, where poet and teacher Refaat Alareer was targeted by Israeli strikes along with seven members of his family. In his last poem, If I Must Die, published five weeks before his murder, Refaat Alareer calls those who should live to create a kite - a long-standing object of resistance- with bits of string and Some Strings, just like each of his readers, receives it as a legacy.
The kites here are a diversity of views that share a space against the silences, international indifference and continued approval of states, which are already fabricating memorial confusions about the greatest civilian massacre of the 21st century.
Launched in March 2024, “Some Strings” has so far brought together over 100 artists, producing nearly 6 hours of short films, shown all over the world.
