| Iunu (geborgtes Licht) Ritual, Environment 2023 EN_ „Iunu“ or „City of the Sun“ is historically considered the central site of the sun cult in ancient Egypt. According to mythology, the origin of the world lies in this place. The site was entirely designed to honor the sun in its significance for numerous cultural practices. „Iunu (geborgtes Licht)“ is a site-specific environment that was installed underground in an abandoned underground parking space. Against the backdrop of the winter solstice recently expected at the time of the exhibition, the work references the sun in its enigmatic power. Created as a walk-through terrain, the environment was ritually activated every full hour by a sound performance and the burning of tree resins. DE_ „Iunu“ oder „Stadt der Sonne“ wird geschichtlich als zentrale Stätte des Sonnenkults im alten Ägypten angesehen. Der Mythologie nach liegt an diesem Ort der Ursprung der Welt. Die Stätte war ganzheitlich darauf ausgerichtet, die Sonne in Ihrer Bedeutung für zahlreiche Kulturpraktiken zu ehren. „Iunu (geborgtes Licht)“ ist ein ortsspezifisches Environment, das unterirdisch in einer verlassenen Tiefgarage errichtet wurde. Vor dem Hintergrund der zum Zeitpunkt der Ausstellung kürzlich zu erwartenden Winter-Sonnenwende referenziert die Arbeit die Sonne in ihrer enigmatischen Kraft.
