Hey, I’m Steve. I’m a coach, facilitator, entrepreneur, and musician — and together with my wife Austin (@snowhaiku ), I co-founded Enfold in 2019, a healing sanctuary on a remote island near Vancouver, BC. My life’s work sits at the crossroads of mindfulness, psychology, philosophy, music, and medicine. I’ve spent years trying to understand what it means to live a good life — and how to help people come back to their True Self when they’ve lost the thread. At @enfoldinstitute , we’ve built the most comprehensive psych*delic process in the world. It’s not just about the medicine. It’s about the whole person — the heart, the nervous system, the stories we carry. People fly in from across the globe for this work, but really they’re all looking for the same thing: to reconnect with their heart and feel like themselves again. Alongside that, I’ve recently been on a focused mission to transform my own physiology — dialing in nutrition, building real strength, optimizing hormones, and going deep into the world of peptides. That last one has become a full-on obsession. I’ve learned a lot about what works and what doesn’t, and I now offer consulting to help people tap into the incredible potential of this emerging space. DM me if you’re curious. I’m a student of Ram Dass — I’m always working at opening my heart more fully, deepening my embodied wisdom, and live what I teach. His influence shows up in pretty much everything I do. Sometimes I nail it, sometimes I’m a mess. Being human is complicated! When I’m not supporting guests at Enfold or working with coaching clients, you’ll find me making music, getting outside, or lifting heavy things. Sometimes all three in the same day. Glad you found your way here. 🙏

When you close your heart to pain, you also close it to love. Your partner lashes out, so you shut down to protect yourself. It feels smart - why stay open to someone who’s hurting you? But here’s what you can’t see: your heart doesn’t have separate doors for pain and love. When you close off to their reactivity, you’re also closing off to their need for connection underneath it. This is why couples stay stuck. Both people are protecting themselves from hurt, which means both people are also blocking themselves from the love they actually want. Your partner’s attack is usually their pain asking for connection in the clumsiest way possible. When you respond to their pain with your own walls, nobody gets seen. The shift that changes everything: instead of protecting yourself from their behavior, stay open to the feeling underneath it. When you can receive their hurt without shutting down, they finally feel safe enough to stop attacking. You can’t get the love you want while you’re defending against the pain that comes with it.

I am lucky to have a momma like mine. She’s been a huge supporter of me my whole life and has helped shaped who I am. I love you Mom!

Reflecting back on seeing @ganavya along with her incredible band a while back. I’m not sure I’ve ever been moved to deeply so quickly the moment she began singing. If you get a chance to see her live do not hesitate. She is unbelievable. Her band is phenomenal as well. A stand up bass and a harp was all it took to create these ethereal grooves that carried her voice with perfection.

What if we just relaxed and practiced a little more grace with ourselves and others?

Life is a series of choices and experiments that either reveal who you are or reveal where you’re hiding from your true self. We take risks. We learn. We grow. We lean into life. We expand.

Once a week I spend an hour exclusively on my core. It’s a nice way to get a quick workout in on my off days from my upper/lower split. Plus it’s good cardio if I keep the pace up, balancing reps to failure with pace to keep the heart rate up. #peptides #fitnessjourney #strength #resistancetraining

Epic trip to Mexico with the Taos Gang. New medicine experiences, epic architecture, great food, lots of laughter and depth.. what else could one ask for? Grateful for you @alexenchin for putting this trip together immaculately. Grateful for each of the gang and for the chance to experience life with my beautiful best friend @snowhaiku .. Life is rich, complicated, challenging, and beautiful. The photos always make things look perfect but it’s all the little adversities and learning that really make it worth it 🙏🤍

Yesterday was Cozy’s last walk in the woods. We always knew she was on borrowed time and that every day we had with her was a bonus. Cozy arrived in our life as quickly as she left it. She arrived on Bowen Island as a rescue out of LA somehow, having been saved from a kill shelter on her last day before bouncing around in fosters for a few months.. as soon as we met her we knew she was meant to be with us. She never really knew any commands but she learned to communicate with us and trust us over the months we had her. She was an incredibly loving doggo and so many guests felt her quiet support through their journeys. She was also a character.. we’ve never known a dog quite like her. She was a gift and she will be missed. We love you Cozy 💔 thank you for all the love and lessons you offered.

Staying strong as we age = mastering injury prevention. 🛡️ Your muscles adapt fast; your joints + ligaments need extra love. Here’s how to keep building while protecting your body: 1. Super-slow eccentrics Lower the weight for 5-10 seconds. This increases time-under-tension, builds tendon stiffness/strength, improves control, and reduces joint shear. Think “own the descent,” then a crisp, controlled press/pull. 2. Hydrate like an athlete Fluid + electrolytes keep cartilage nourished, tendons gliding, and muscles firing. Aim for steady sips all day and a glass before/after training. 3. Protein + collagen Hit your daily protein, and add 10–15 g collagen (with a little vitamin C) 30–60 min pre-lift to support tendon/ligament remodeling. (Don’t forget the carbs too!) 4. Targeted peptides (advanced) BPC-157, TB-500, Ipamorelin, and CJC-1295 can support healing, recovery, and favorable body composition when used responsibly with coaching guidance (ask me about this!) 5. Rest days + sleep You create micro-damage in the gym; you rebuild during rest. Protect your CNS, lower cortisol, and grow with consistent 7–9 hrs. Save this, train smart, and stay in the game for decades. 💪 #arka #longevity #injuryprevention #jointhealth #strengthtraining #hypertrophy #recovery #sleep #collagen #bpc157 #tb500 #ipamorelin #cjc1295 #healthspan #mobility #over40fitness #peptides (Not medical advice; for education only.)

The Flexion Row. This is a weighted mobility exercise, which seems to me the best way to gain functional flexibility. Plus it’s an amazing lat and back pump and strengthens the entire spinal erector column which is super important for protecting the back. Try it! #fitnessjourney #peptides #strengthtrainingathome #resistancetraining #menshealth #mobility

Sometimes people pop into your life that you feel like you’ve known them forever because their frequency is so aligned and their hearts are so open. These two beauties are perfect examples of that. We deeply appreciate that you made the journey to our little island oasis and we had a chance to drop in. Looking forward to more.. @revolve.fit @ryantmeeks
