Our performance last summer opening for @bluerodeoofficial Blue Rodeo at Badlands Amphitheatre @badlandsamp for their Great Big Weekend July 2024. What a thrill and honour to be invited by the band and venue event team to support the sold-out concert! My family first arrived in Canada a few kilometres up the road from Drumheller in Beiseker, so to perform in that magical venue surrounded by the badlands and hoodoos, in front of my family and friends, just prior to THE iconic CDN band who have created the soundtrack to my life, was truly remarkable. Thanks to the band @paranormallory , @hansen_brett , and @joeljeschkedrums for such a magical performance and tour that week. And a huge thanks to the Badlands Amphitheatre team for the kind permission to use this footage, filmed and edited by the wonderful Cody Schatz of CSchatz Film & Photography @cschatzfilmphotography . This audio is a preview clip of my new studio recording of The Party, a cover of the gorgeous tune written by Jenn Grant & Mary Bragg; we debuted our arrangement live at the event.
