Permanent exhibition for the Valley Station of the Colle Cable Car.

The permanent exhibition at the valley station consists of a mosaic representing the entire history of the Colle Cable Car (Kohlerer Bahn). It contains highlights of the ropeway, such as its inauguration in 1908 and its development during the two world wars. The mosaic is displayed chronologically and includes a text divided into chapters in both German and Italian (white), archive images (orange), significant dates (green) and selected key quotes (black). The project was commissioned by Funivia del Colle S.r.l. and the Cable Car Office of the Autonomous Province of Bolzano.

Six animated screens explore key themes in Sven Sachsalber’s work, emerged from over thirty conversations with friends, collaborators and colleagues.
The quotes appears in a fragmented sequence across the screens, like pieces of a moving puzzle that gradually reveal the artist’s practice and world. 📍On view at #Museion until 01.02.2026
